Abdi Bashir from Monmouth in the portal

Brother went to Auburn seems like he’ll be at that type of market level

From what I be heard from fairly reliable Monmouth sources? They have very little NIL money

Reminds me of the King Rice rant after they beat our ass at The Rock. What an embarrassing game.

Bashir is the ideal type of player Sha's offense needs to spread the floor. He's an assassin from 3, shot 127/332 (.383) where he takes the majority of his hots. He also shot 92/106 from the FT line (.868). He shot 51/130 (.392) from 3 as a freshman too. He is not good at taking the ball to the rim at this stage and his 2PT numbers are terrible and Sha likes to play that drive-to-the-rim style that teams sag on.

You put someone like this out there and pair him with a good PG, you've got something. Put that out there with Coleman and last year would've been very different.

But you've gotta pay up.

Gets his shot off so quickly too, major range. Does the Sha-Rice connection help?

We want to be patient and to be honest we really don't know who they have wink wink deals with already in place. However, they better make hay soon or the good players will be gobbled up. What is the established goal for next season? We need impact players. If you hear this player is a better version of Wusu, then that's concerning.

Obviously a great floor spacer, has such a quick release and unlimited range. Put him on the court with Budd Clark breaking down the middle and a post presence and you could dream a little.

I’m not sure how well rounded he is for B12 play but he’s a major asset offensively.

But alas, back to mining the bargain bin.

K State had one of the biggest NILs last year and missed the NCAAT. Obviously Bashir took the biggest bag. Can’t blame him.

None of us know what Sha is doing /or not doing ???? I do not believe he even knows what he is doing. Seeing GTown pivot from Hopkins and have a great signing day; having Butler, Friars and Xavier move forward -- only deepens my frustration and cheerlessness.
Hard to believe that expressing interest in so many portal players is a productive plan.
Just thought that maybe Sha was plotting to Team Bashir with Clark and I could not have been more wrong.

If in fact the $5 million is in revenue sharing, then SHU can’t spend that money until the House settlement is approved. Programs are front loading commitments using NIL money from their collectives and paying signing bonuses. Does SHU even have much NIL money to spend?

No idea of what they have. However, they have had a lot of time to plan for next season. Clarke would be probably be put in the "Good Get" category. They Must pay for the next guy. It's that simple.

Correct. There is no money like yet.

Then we never had 5 million. All we have is a promise of money that everybody else is getting. So all things equal we’re still the lowest in the conference. But it was presented here that we secured our own 5 million to spend.

Saw him play several times this year. He forces a lot. Sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesn’t. His move up will be an interesting one
