yes. the ooc game fees are ridiculous.Another path for getting UCONN into the ACC. Then two divisions: Big East and ACC. Play each other in what had been out-of-conference schedule. For us fewer games v. NJIT and Caldwell.
Not sure we will win too many road games playing at those venues. Being middle of the pack in that conference will be nowhere's ville. We will be DePaul and Wake Forest.
We will be DePaul and Wake Forest if we give up and settle for mediocrity. Put the right people in place in the administration and we will be just fine. Not sure we will win too many road games playing at those venues. It's been a few years since Seton Hall has been as good as Wake Forest. We will be DePaul and Wake Forest if we give up and settle for mediocrity. Put the right people in place in the administration and we will be just fine.
You're not wrong that each and each is a mere shell of its former self. But they are a mere shell of themselves that makes nearly $40,000,000 in media rights distributions, plus a share of college football playoff rights money.Schools that jumped to the ACC from the BE went from premier high class brands to second class citizens who don't look good wearing overalls.
Look at schedules across the country… every power conference team plays those type of opponents. Not sure what you are expecting to see in Nov/DecAnother path for getting UCONN into the ACC. Not until DePaul stops being DePaul. We’re very close, but they proved that they’re still DePaul. We currently are DePaul
Arguably the basketball only schools would get what Notre Dame gets, which I've heard is 17 million a year. The question is whether ESPN would pony that up in order to take the big east from Fox.Still think this is in the utmost speculation stage: if even there. How would ACC work non football schools into the mix? Might Villanova try to strive for ACC football mediocrity? Would the chosen bball schools (Creighton, Georgetown, Marquette, St. John's) leave the others in the dust? I think so. What, then, happens to the little five? They keep the( less) valued Big East brand and add......
You guys are having an off year, but you would have to have an off year for a couple of decades to be in the running to be "DePaul"Not until DePaul stops being DePaul. We’re very close, but they proved that they’re still DePaul.
I know the negativity of this board is off the charts. You guys are having an off year, but you would have to have an off year for a couple of decades to be in the running to be "DePaul"
Rosencrantz and GuildensternBtw Coach K and Pitino are no doubt long time friends. So when they both publicly advocate for this in unison.....
Notre Dame got $22 million from the ACC for the year ended 06/30/23. That includes the 5 football games they play against the ACC. Full members got approx. $45 million.Arguably the basketball only schools would get what Notre Dame gets, which I've heard is 17 million a year. I agree it seems more sensible to just cherry pick the schools you want. I also agree with you that I find it highly unlikely. The fact that it's being talked about though shows that the biggies is considered to be a valuable target.

Tuesdays supposed secret meeting is not secret. It's a scheduled meeting between the ACC and ESPN to discuss ESPN's option for the media contract that expires in 2027 but must be renewed by 02/01/25.
