DELMAR, N.Y. – In only her third collegiate tournament, freshman Marta Aguilar (Casaras Malaga, Spain) claimed the individual co-championship and lifted the Seton Hall women's golf team to the team title at the UAlbany Great Danes Invitational on Sunday.
Aguliar started the day three strokes behind a pair of individual leaders, but had two birdies, 10 pars and an eagle on the par-5, No. 9 hole, to fuel a 1-over-par, 71, in the final round. Her remarkable second-round performance enabled her tie Boston University's Christy Chen for the individual championship.
