Ah you see this

so is there any context as to why?

From project 2025:

The CFPB is a highly politicized, damaging, and utterly unaccountable federal agency. It is unconstitutional. Congress should abolish the CFPB and reverse Dodd–Frank Section 1061, thus returning the consumer protection function of the CFPB to banking regulators and the Federal Trade Commission. Provided the Supreme Court affirms the Fifth Circuit holding in Community Financial Services Association of America, the next conservative President should order the immediate dissolution of the agency—pull down its prior rules, regulations and guidance, return its staff to their prior agencies and its building to the General Services Administration.

so despite what everyone was saying, trumps term IS focused on rolling out all of project 2025?

Maybe you can keep score to see if this comes true over the next four years….

It's amazing watching all the liberals melt down over every single little thing. As if this "Project 2025" thing is some big bad bogeyman.

And like him or not, he has had at least three public events with the press today; meeting with King Abdullah, press conference with Musk and now greeting Mark Fogel.

Versus a President who essentially was in hiding for four years and his successor saying she wouldn’t do anything differently for the next four years.

Duplicating what the FTC has been doing for years. Layers and layers of government.

Another catch phrase Project 2025, add it to constitutional crises, threat to democracy, Russia collusion. People keeping buying everything the marketing brain washing company sells. Liberals are like a used car sales man. Soon they will be selling abortion again.

You forgot Hitler, fascist, reproductive rights, world’s richest man, etc.

I thought Democrats are supposed to be the highly educated coastal elites that know better. But somehow they keep failing to deliver a message and aspiration that resonates with the working American and that 60% of the population without a college degree. I would have to question how “smart” they are when their vision is “not Trump” and they keep trotting out the clown show of Schumer, Waters, Bush, Raskin, Warren every day protesting and yelling obscenities.

The fascist one is particularly entertaining, since liberal media agenda has been paid with our hard earned tax dollars. Liberal elite about to be exposed as the real fascist in America, I would be fighting if I were guilty too. Perhaps the college educated in America have not opened a dictionary lately. Democrats are falling hard into traps being set by Trump who is beating them badly by out smarting them at every turn. Best part he’s doing it quietly without all the boasting. The damage to the democratic brand is astounding and they keep playing the same cards. James Carville has sent numerous warnings but no one is listening.

Another catch phrase Project 2025

Exactly, just brush off anyone who wanted to discuss what was in project 2025, like the people who assumed that it will be guiding his policy were crazy... and yet here we are where Trump has never really said anything about the CFPB, and it's now gone - just like project 2025 outlined.

Not that it’s a boogeyman…. It is just a document that Trump wanted nothing to do on the campaign trail because of how unpopular many of the points within would have been, like getting rid of the CFPB.

People keeping buying everything the marketing brain washing company sells

The brain washing was on the other end here. Those convinced that project 2025 was not going to guide Trump's policies were kidding themselves. Those who wanted to discuss it because it would be guiding policy were correct.

Not that it's all bad, some things I would even agree with, but it would have been worth discussing during the campaign so people could understand what they were voting for.

its already happening and you and others always said project 2025 was BS during the campaign trail and trump had no association to it. no acknowledgment of being flat out wrong?

trump drains the swamp but also lets every single one of his criminal cronies off the hook or anyone that even bends the knee for that matter. Treasonous Jan 6ers are good to go?

what are we doing here?

I think it's hilarious that people are up in arms that haven't even read the entire Project 2025. Is it all bad? Is it all good? Are there components that make sense? Is Trump implementing every part of it? Once again, another buzz word instead of looking in the mirror and figuring out how the Democratic party failed to beat a terribly flawed candidate.

What are we doing here? If you haven't noticed, both parties are paying for the low approval ratings with the public. The Democrats are now the party of the diversity fringe and the true conservative Republican party's platform has been hijacked by Trump and now resonates with working class, blue-color American's, including Hispanics and young men. Not the core of the party 10 years ago.

Here's a tip...travel the country for a month and just listen.

No one is up in arms. Just being honest that if you're confused about why Trump is doing certain things, it's not a coincidence that it is explained in detail in project 2025.

Not a buzz word, it is the document that is guiding policies. The sky isn't falling, the document isn't all inherently bad, just a shame people wrote off any conversation about it during the campaign because they claimed it wouldn't be a part of Trump's administration when it clearly would be and now is.

I never read it, but was told by people that it was bad who also didn’t read it. And it sounds like SHUSA is up in arms.

It’s a buzz word, because people are using the document with very little or any knowledge about what’s in it.
