Oh, so you should have some incompetent at the top of the office. Good to hear. That’s brilliant. There are plenty of very competent people within the office that could have been named interim US attorney. But Trump wants his hack to be the head of the office. It’s a slap to the face of every attorney working in that office.
Also, Trump likes interim people so he can hire and fire at will.
