Social security was not designed to be a permanent program. It was born out of the Great Depression as a relief program for retirees at the time.
That’s how it was sold to the public but that’s not how it was structured. It was structured to raise funds to be spent at will by the federal government under the guise of helping seniors. Due to that structure, it’s an entitlement. While one pays in, there is no account for that person.
I’m for capitalism always. It offers the most freedom for all individuals. A bold president will hopefully get rid of half the FDR, Johnson, and Obama social programs. Start there.
I’m for capitalism, freedom, and liberty; just not for corporate welfare or crony capitalism.
