Crazy idea, I know.

My break down of the open practice. Player by Player.

Whitehead - The most important player by far, he will be expected to score 15 points a game while running our offense. His key will be limiting the turnovers. The spotlight will be on him, I think he will step up, but it is a huge step.

Delgado- Didn't do a ton, but we now what we are getting with him, his key will be to stay out of foul trouble. He can not have any silly fouls.

Carrington- Another guy that didn't do a ton, he will have his games when he shines and when he struggles. Even though he will start I look at him as our energy guy.

Singh- I went in thinking he was the key to the season. Left thinking him and Whitehead are the keys. We lack shooting, he is our onlt legit 3 point shooter, thats scary, but if he shoots like he did yesterday he will scare teams.

Gordon- A bulldog, great d, competent ball handler, bad shooter. Will help our team.

Desi- If only he was 2 inches taller or if he had a shot. He will be what he was last year. Have some games where he has close to a double double and some games where he is lost. If we play up tempo he is the key guy, if we play half court he is a role player.

Nzei- Good Athlete, hopefully he can develop into a good basketball player. I prefer him over Ish for reasons I will say later.

Anderson- Big Body, but seemed to want to float around the perimeter to much. Either get indie or get on the bench.

Sanago- Tall, but when he gets the ball he seems to try to hard and forces. He needs to let the game come to him. Even if he does that though I till dont think he is a Big East player. He has the size and length, just not the bball IQ.

Carter- Alot skinnier then I expected. Did not see much time. Hopefully he can add muscle, and hopefully Willard gives him time against the cupcakes.

Anthony- Will be our backup Center again. He knows what he is and if he can rebound and hit that baby hook every so often I will be happy.

Soffer- Not a big east player yet.

Thanks for taking the time to write this post. Greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your opinions. Mine are on the Trove.

I would just like to note that I believe Anderson will be first in line as our backup center. He played more minutes in the scrimmage than did Anthony and during the practice he was with the second unit whereas Anthony was with the third.

Still it's early and most all positions are up for grabs.

Thanks for the post. Its good to get back to basketball again.

Who do you think will be the other starting forward with Delgado. I was hoping Anderson or Anthony would be able to play enough minutes to keep Delgado at the 4.

Dan, i hope Anderson is the backup. I was not impressed with his game and he did not seem like he was interested in playing inside and mixing it up.

I think Nzei will be our best option at the PF. In crunch time I see us going small with Desi and Singh as our forwards.

He may have been told not to bang it up on the inside for the sake of his neck and to fully recover from whatever symptoms he was having from getting his bell rung last month.

Good to get back to discussing each player and how each player looked at the scrimmage . Let's hope someone steps up and becomes the answer to our open question about who is going to give us what we need at the other power position.

I have to say, I felt a little better about the team after watching them on Saturday. I felt that Singh was the MVP of the practice/scrimmage. Im not saying he is the best player on the team but he impressed me. He will be a big part of the team this year.

Hope Singh is as good as mentioned here. I picked him up in the later rounds of a fantasy basketball league, to go along with my first round pick of Delgado.

And Now picked up Nezi in the 9th round. Don't love having three players from the same team on my team, but the value was there so had to take it.
