Anyone else think it’s odd that Jerry suggested Rutgers needs a GM (most high majors have one) but then a few minutes later says seton hall doesn’t need one?
Is that his politically correct way of saying you’re not a high major? Or that’s putting the cart before the horse kinda thing?
Several universities in the Big Ten Conference ran large deficits in their intercollegiate athletics programs during FY 2024. That problem will only grow worse.
I took it this way as well. A school like SHU with that is not going to spend anything close to the $20M cap is not likely to add administrative positions when they could allocate those salaries to revenue sharing. If anything, I would expect the athletic department to unfortunately be subtracting administrative positions to free up money.
