Trump went on a twitter attack on the hosts of MSNBC Morning Joe this morning which was on par with the best 8th grade cyber bully.

“I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year’s Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!” Trump wrote in a pair of tweets.

I wish he would stop acting like a 70 year old 8th grader. It is truly embarrassing.

He's a disgusting, narcissistic pig with zero class or intellectual curiosity. No interest in actually governing, just lining his pockets & stroking his ego. I cannot think of any redeeming qualities that he offers in ANY category, outside of blundering into the right decision on TPP.

I hope that his nonstop embarrassments while in office will turn into significant political gains for progressives, but it hasn't happened yet as establishment Dems still haven't changed much & continue to LOSE ELECTIONS (with some small strides being made on the local level in pockets), but pat themselves on the back for getting close.

At least he's been shown to be terrible thus far at leading his party towards actual legislative victory, so hopefully that will continue bc their agenda is equally cruel and disgusting as he is. Pence wouldn't be so bad at this part of the job, I'll tell you that.

More like a third grader, but sadly, still prefer him in the White House vs. HRC....

Funny post. However, if you hate the elites, isn't Trump the definition of an elite - A Manhattanite who is worth $10 Billion?

While you may not be wrong about "elites," wouldn't you also consider Trump an elite? The guy is worth a ton of money.

An elite with USA interests. He uses his platform to counter these blowhards who get on TV because we can't. I don't have same politics as you but you interest me more than MSM.

......for following the Constitution. Oh, how dare he!! Lol.

I Would be surprised if Trump has read the Constitution. Remember the birther movement? Probably one of the most idiotic arguments ever that Obama was not qualified to hold office because he was born in Kenya. Even if true, Obama was an American citizen at birth due to his mother being American.

Remember, Mitt Rodney's father was born in Mexico and ran for President. Ted Cruz was born in Canada and ran for President.

CernJ. Gotta go with you on this one. That was childish on Trump's part and I didn't like it - as much I hate Obammie the Commie.

To add, I believe when Goldwater ran in 1964, the Dems said that he was born in a non-USA territory. I believe it may have been present day Ca or NM maybe.

I would be surprised if most modern presidents have either read the Constitution or have a general understanding of it.

I would think that most members of Congress have read it. Moreover, the majority of the members of the Senate hold a law degree as well as sizable amount of members of the house. So they have read the Constitution.

I'll take SPK with the points....

I'd venture a guess that a large percentage of the population doesn't know what the Constitution is let alone having read it.

I'd add the Articles of Confederation along with the Federalist Papers as necessary reading to support understanding the Constitution. We should also understand the dynamics between Adams, Jefferson, Franklin, Washington, Hamilton, and others.

I agree with you folks very much. Great points. How can we become activists and lead a charge to get this subject matter on teaching agendas in schools ?

Donald Trump is an ego maniac who only cares about himself. He is an embarrassment to our nation. While I certainly do not agree with Mike Pence on most issues I do think he knows how a President is supposed to act and would do so. Unfortunately while a change would benefit our nation & its image it is not likely to happen. Trump will continue to be an embarrassment for the next 3.5 years.

Name calling - true liberal playbook.

Find someone to run against him then.

Hillary 2020?? Lol

Democrats party is a left-wing progressive mess!!

No, I just want to compete for the best ideas for the USA the way the founders wanted it.

I also don't want to turn into Venezuela or Europe or North Korea.

Granted I think the President has more important things to do than respond to the media, I have no problem if he wants to take 10 minutes a day calling out people bad mouthing him. It's about time a President says I'm not taking anybody's sh*t. He ended TPP. Finally someone responded to Syria. Hopefully he can work with Russia and China and the 3 of us can come up with a solution to North Korea. And hopefully he can figure out healthcare. It amazes me how people find it acceptable for young healthy people to pay in to lower the cost of less healthy people. Can you imagine if older people with a great driving record had to contribute more to help lower car insurance costs for younger drivers who are more accident prone.

I agree. I actually think he's done an average to decent job so far, better than I expected.

That is exactly how insurance works. The good drivers pay for the bad drivers, the healthy pay for the sick, the living paying for life insurance pay for those who die untimely. Insurance is a company gambling (based on vast amounts of data) that you will cost them less than you pay in.

Trump aside,I would pose this question to everyone here. Are you really happy with how the Republican and Democratic Congress are listening to you and working on your behalf?

Case in point. Healthcare. The Republicans look downright dysfunctional with regards to coming to consensus on a repeal and replace bill. And even the staunchest Democrats admit that Obamacare is flawed. Where is their leadership in trying to fix the flaws? Crickets.

So you can continue to be digging your heels on the idealogical beliefs of one party or the other; get into the daily pissing match on whether Trump is fit or unfit; or maybe just maybe, we can actually hold all politicians accountable. Or you can continue to blame a segment of the voting electorate. I don't think we have a voter issue; I think we have a politician issue.

Not really...a young driver pays a much higher rate because they are higher risk (as does the driver that has a poor driving record).

Same theory for individual health plans though. Younger people pay the same rates in group health plans but that would be lower than if they were in an individual market because of risk pooling. Insurance is insurance. They people who don't use it pay for the people who do.

Can you expound on that a bit just so I understand where you are coming from?

I thought the action in Syria was appropriate and proportional. So far, we haven't gotten sucked into something more complicated there.

I like his tax plan, although he's got to get it passed. Very little movement on this after they made a big show of the announcement.

I don't have a problem with the so-called "travel ban." It's temporary and appropriate. I agree with him on illegal immigration.

I support his view that NATO members must pay their fair share. I like that he's nudging traditional allies and saying that, while remaining friendly, the days of a free ride may be gone.

His economic message resonates with most Americans and it's clear the stock market is a fan.

His push against the status quo and political correctness is attractive to me.

Would like to see a big push on infrastructure. It's obsolete, made for an era 40-50 years ago. Increases in population and building construction have made travel more difficult, especially in our state. There are traffic jams and bottlenecks everywhere you go. The same places back up every day.

Healthcare has been a challenge and I don't necessarily support his view on it. I've always leaned "left" on healthcare. In a perfect world, I'd like to see the profit motive removed entirely from the health insurance market. I don't believe companies should be making money off people getting sick. I'd like to see something more towards the single-payer model. I'd also like to see true reform of the costs of medical services and devices. I believe that's the true driver of the explosion in healthcare costs, there is no oversight for that.

What's crazy is they would make more money if people didn't get sick. The industrialization of food is the biggest driver of the medical field. People are putting unnatural foods into their body. How do you keep food longer on the shelf to maximize profits, you take out the fiber. Fiber cleans out your system. Then you have GMO foods. Pesticides, artificial hormones, etc are going into the human body. Obviously there is going to be a reaction.

I'm no patriots fan, but the more I read about Tom Brady's diet, the more it makes sense. Because of the modern world we live in unless you are super wealthy, an athlete whose job is to stay in shape, or can work your world around getting fresh products to put in your body all of the time it is very difficult to keep up with. But what Brady does with anti-inflamatory foods seems to make a whole lot of sense as far as keeping inflamation within the body down reducing the cause of many diseases.

But the truth of the matter that will never take off regardless of who is in office because the packaged food industry brings in a ton of tax money, people get sick have to pay the doctors, more tax money, then they have to take medicines, more tax dollars. Being unhealthy brings in more money and it's going to take a really special person to tell the food industry to reduce sugar, GMOs, pesticides, etc and losing that tax money.
