Four-star forward Louis King has elite potential, and already the local schools are making sure he feels like he is a top priority.

One of the highest upside forwards in the 2018 class is Louis King. King, who is running with Sports U on the Under Armour Association, is having a very solid spring and college coaches are making sure to track him extensively.

“It has been a good spring overall,” said the versatile King. “We have come out strong as a team, and we know we just have to continue to get back at it every week.”

He continued, “My handle and my shooting are the two areas I’ve been focused on the most. Also I want to continue to improve at making my teammates better.”

With his combination of versatility, size, skill, and athleticism it is no surprise that numerous college coaches have been watching King this spring. He already has offers from Seton Hall, Rutgers, St. John’s, and Syracuse, but two of those schools seem to be after King the hardest.

“Seton Hall and St. John’s are the main two schools that have been talking to me,” noted King.

Seton Hall is located close to his New Jersey home, and King says that the Pirates coaching staff is doing a good job of building a strong relationship with him and his mother.

“We stay in contact a lot,” noted King. “They are really on me, and they are telling me to be more aggressive on the court. We have a good relationship.”

Led by Head Coach Chris Mullin, the Red Storm staff has also been extremely active in recruiting King and he has been by to see St. John’s play several times.

“St. John’s is a great school,” explained King. “I visited there a lot for games, and I like it a lot there.”

King says that at the moment he is in no hurry to make a decision, but academics will be the biggest focus for him when that time does come along with his relationship with the coaching staff.
