I'll admit I didn't follow MSOC as closely as I normally do, at least in following the scores online. SHU had a couple quality wins in conference, but finished as the 8 seed for the BET and had to play Georgetown, who beat SHU by one earlier in the season. They were tied going into the 64th minute, when a SHU player got a red card, which was game over in the last 10 mins when Georgetown scored. How do you get a red card in a win-or-go-home game against a program like Georgetown?? Sounded really dumb, but hard to tell from reading the recap and box score.

The play that drew the red card was a play on the ball. An aggressive play but one in which the Georgetown player wasnt injured or even hit.
