I think Creighton at home may still out to be a good win, and perhaps they caught them on an off-night and/or before they could adjust to life without Isaacs. Everyone says that foreign kid that Creighton just got eligible is the goods, so that should be a boost.

Insanity to have providence at 10- especially since they Beat DePaul. Lost to the #2 and 3 teams in conference by 3 and by 2.
You may be right but full body of work, they are under .500.

UConn is struggling defensively.
This year's incarnation is going to have to outscore people rather than lock them down defensively. With McNeeley we should be able to do that against most teams. Without him? It's a lot closer question.

UCONN -- (this might be bias because I've watched them a lot more than other Big East teams, but I love their 2-4 when McNeeley is healthy, and I love watching Karaban play -- he is the example of someone who you cannot truly measure in stats because of everything he brings by way of intelligence and intangibles)
2. Marquette -- (close 2 -- susceptible perhaps on the interior/paint but can hurt you so many different ways and play relentless defense, etc)
3. St. John's (still need shots to fall but impressive to beat Nova by double digits with Dev Smith injured for the entire second half. If Smith is injured for a prolonged period they might slip on this list).
4. Creighton (still a believer with the Kalk/Ashworth combo and the HC)
5. Nova (supporting case around Dixon seems like a much better "fit" this year)
6. Gtown (I'm a believer even if they got smoked yesterday in a statement W for Uconn coming off the Nova disappointment)
7. Xavier (still a believer in the offensive output, especially if Freemantle stays healthy, and the head coach)
8. Providence (Hopkins injury is a killer)
9. Butler (winless, but they hang around in these games and will eventually get some Ws IMO)
10. Seton Hall (over Depaul b/c we beat them at home and hung with Providence)

I think things are starting to separate and become a bit clearer.
1. UCONN (still for me until proven otherwise and once McNasty returns)
2. Marquette (clear 2 for me)
3. St. John's (if Smith gets healthy and they continue to show more of an ability to knock down 3s, might be higher)
4. Creighton (were written off far too early by some, IMO, even with the Isaacs injury)
5. Xavier (I think they are better than Nova, the W at Marquette was huge, and they have a legit shot at beating St. John's this week with their offensive firepower and excellent coach)
6. Nova (Mr. Dixon's Neighborhood, and Poplar seems like a legit dance partner. Would be higher with another coach IMO)
7. Gtown (I think Epps hurts as much as he helps them sometimes with the other 2 guards they have who are better, but Sorber's absence is an absolute killer).
8. Providence (agree they are on a tier of their own IMO -- even without Hopkins I like their talent better than the other 3, and they have an excellent home court advantage)
9. Butler (will win a few more)
10. Depaul (will win a few more because of the 3 ball)

With an absolutely wild comeback. I only caught the tail end, but based on what the announcers were saying seemed like a massive choke job by Nova.
And still Dixon’s shot was halfway down.

Neptune has an amazing ability to lose games in last 5 minutes --tho he got lucky when 90 per cent foul shooter for Huskies misses 2 FTs --
Yes, great win for Gtown but Nova was up by 10+ then failed to score in the last 4:50 of the 2nd half. They really looked disorganized on offense and Dixon took some bad shots. Crushing loss for Nova but Neptune is doing his thing late in close games. And yes the UCONN game was a gift.
