Great news again. Seems like we are well on our way to be done with this at some point in 2021.

That is true. Seems some effectiveness after 1, but 2 to get to the 90% or so.

The Astrazenica numbers are interesting
2 full doses = 65% effective
1/2 + 1 full dose = 90%

I wonder if they know why that happens.

Seems that your immune system/cells take some time to adjust and "program in" so to speak the vaccine. Not a scientist but interesting nevertheless.

this is common for other vaccines. i think it was a hep a shot i got that required me to get the 2nd dose 6 months after. i got if for a trip so i never actually got the 2nd dose.

My understanding the J&J vaccine still in early phase 3 is only a single shot, but they also just started testing a 2 shot protocol as well to test higher efficiency/longevity.
