August Tweets

Wouldn’t that stat be true for almost everyone?
Is it almost always true that someone shooting at the college 3 line will shoot better there than at the nba 3 line (or further out)? absolutely..

But I think what this tweeter is highlighting is the % reduction of 50% from college line to 26% at nba line or further is not good when for judging for nba potential.

With all the players who allegedly wanted to go to Seton Hall added to all the players who were coming but changed their mind at the last minute we would have been be a top program year after year. What counts is who did come not who might have come.

We also knew about a few of the players who went to Nova, bc of Fred hill?

It was so easy for us to immediately turn our focus to our guy and make the Saint Peter's run a Sha story -- and no doubt he was the one fueling it -- that it's easy to forget what was really the story: Saint Peter's made it to the Elite Eight! I mean, saying it now, it doesn't even seem real or conceivable. I ask myself, "Did that really happen?" It seems like an impossible mountain to climb for any school that is not one of the landed gentry, but Saint Peter's may have been the most unlikely program of any have-not to have gotten that far. And when you look at that series of game, it wasn't a fluke.

The Saint Peter’s run to the Elite 8 is a great story and the accolades Sha and his players earned were well deserved and the fact that Sha was able to convince Ndefo to commit to us is major plus for the program. One open question is how much traction that run will generate for our program going forward now that Sha is our coach. We know that Sha’s run in the tourney has allowed us to make our pitch to more top players and to make more final lists of those players and that’s a plus but to date we have not gotten any commitments .

Well, read the Jay Gomes interview on the Trove and you might get some insight on how tough it is to keep SHU competitive and relevant.

Anyone who follows Seton Hall basketball understands the issues that it faces in order to remain competitive which has been made more difficult by the NIL legislation. What , as a fan , that you hope for is a young coach that can convince the better players to come , to coach the hell out of them and develop the players that cast their lot with the Pirates.

But hope even more that our fans step up for the NIL.
