PREVIEW
Seton Hall dropped two of three games last weekend at Owen T. Carroll Field against Creighton and currently is in third place in the BIG EAST Conference with a record of 6-6. On Friday, the Pirates recorded arguably their best win of the season with a 5-4 come-from-behind victory over the Bluejays on Star Wars Night. Trailing 4-2, Seton Hall scored three times in the bottom of the eighth.
Sal Annunziata went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, a triple and a run scored.
Joe DiBenedetto struck out three of the four batters he faced to preserve the win. On Saturday, Creighton came back from a 6-1 deficit to beat the Pirates, 10-7.
Joe Poduslenko led The Hall with three RBIs and was one of four Pirates with two hits. On Sunday, Seton Hall only tallied three hits as Creighton edged The Hall, 4-2. Seton hall starter Anthony Elia gave up three earned runs over five innings before handing the game over to DiBenedetto. DiBenedetto pitched to just one batter over the minimum over the final four innings and didn't allow a hit. The left-hander still hasn't given up an earned run in 18.1 innings so far this season.

Seton Hall and Villanova will resume one of the longest-running baseball rivalries in the nation when the teams get together for games 119, 120 and 121 this weekend in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. The Pirates have dominated the all-time series winning 77 of the prior 118 games, including the last six. Last season, Seton Hall swept the Wildcats at Owen T. Carroll Field.
Sal Annunziata batted .500 with six RBIs during the series.
Joe DiBenedetto pitched 4.2 innings of hitless baseball in leading the Pirates to an extra innings victory in game two of the series.
DOMINANT DIBENEDETTO
Furthering his position as one of the premier relief pitcher in the BIG EAST Conference,
Joe DiBenedetto pitched 5.1 innings of hitless relief last week. He retired all four of his batters with three strikeouts in earning the victory on Friday vs. Creighton. On Sunday, he saw only one batter over the minimum in pitching the final four hitless innings vs. the Bluejays. To date, DiBenedetto has yet to give up an earned run in 18.1 innings this season with 21 strikeouts.
COMEBACK KIDS
Seton Hall scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning on Friday to defeat Creighton, 5-4. It was the first time this season that the Pirates won a game after trailing after seven innings in 2015. Seton Hall trailed 4-2, in the eighth inning, but scored three runs in the bottom of the inning and
Sal Annunziata delivered the go-ahead run with an RBI single with one out to put the Pirates in front.
THE GIVER

Derek Jenkins went 2-for-2 with three sacrifice bunts. The speedster now has eight sacrifice bunts on the season, which is tied for second in the BIG EAST Conference.
PAIR OF HONOR ROLLS
Senior
Tyler Boyd and sophomore Anthony Pacillo were named to the BIG EAST Baseball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. Boyd went 4-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, four runs scored and a career-high six RBIs in Seton Hall's 16-5 victory over Rutgers on Sunday. Pacillo improved to 3-2 on the season with his first career complete-game shutout on Tuesday at Monmouth.
PIRATES ROUT RUTGERS
On Sunday, the Pirates offense broke out for 16 runs and 17 hits vs. Rutgers, their most since collecting 19 hits vs. Saint Peter's on March 18.
Tyler Boyd went 4-for-4 with six RBIs.
D.J. Ruhlman went 3-for-5 with three RBIs.

BOYD'S BRILLIANCE
On Sunday, senior
Tyler Boyd turned in the best offensive performance of his career. The catcher went 4-for-4 with a home run, a sacrifice fly, two doubles, four runs scored and a career-high six RBIs.
BIG EAST CHAMPIONSHIP INFO
The 2015 BIG EAST Baseball Championship Presented by New York Life is scheduled for May 21-24, as Creighton University is set to host alongside the Conference at TD Ameritrade Park, home of the NCAA College World Series.
All-session tickets for the Championship will be on sale starting April 14 through the BIG EAST Baseball Championship Central and through Creighton's ticket master site. All-session tickets are available for $45 and $35 in two different pricing levels. There are no youth all-session prices.
The championship will be a four-team double-elimination tournament which will feature the top teams in the league. Preliminary rounds will be broadcast on the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN). Sunday's Championship will air live on FOX Sports 2.
