DanBattle, Diagne, Richardson, Roberson, Ennis.
All major HS talents who recently plied their trade in NJ and went far up north to Syracuse.
Time for Willard and Jordon to at least 'Battle' for a few of these players. The results to date have been an instate embarrassment.
* Syracuse has commitments from three of the best high school basketball players in New Jersey. Rutgers and Seton Hall have none. That tells you all you need to know about the state of college basketball in these parts.Battle, Diagne, Richardson, Roberson, Ennis.

We had a kid named Kindal who played at SH in the 70s. He had an older brother who was much better, and he went to Cuse. And some great NJ kids have gone to Duke too. And Louisville. Et al... Hard to believe this surprises anyone.* Syracuse has commitments from three of the best high school basketball players in New Jersey. Rutgers and Seton Hall have none. Not so much a surprise Dick, but more a frustration.
Not all kids want to stay home, but clearly Syracuse is a man made destination not a sexy one. Of course being a college town helps along with the Carrier Dome. But that's no excuse for them getting the amount of quality players from our state that they have. Willard and Jordon have to do a better job. Amaker did so why not the two current coaches?
Yeah, I meant to include Boeheim in my man made comment but forgot.Dan
You know the answer to your question probably better then most of the posters on this Board. The single most important factor in recruiting is who the head coach is and whether players want to play for him. Amaker was successful because kids wanted to play for him and he was a great salesman. Hell, he's still getting highly talented kids to play for him at an Ivy League school.
We know the answer. And I blame our admin. They continually hire people who can't do the job.Not so much a surprise Dick, but more a frustration.
