Awesome 2nd half by uconn. felt awful for Dixon. not the way a terrific pkayer wants to go out. Other side of that coin is Karaban When he took a 3 in nwk for uconns first shot the husky fans in by me yelled stop shooting. And the backup pg slayed some demons too. looks lije tgey are coming together.

DP - manoman. so close. 2 huge threes by the big man. ashford finally hits one. dp battles but not enough.

guees the mq-x game was great too. didnt see a play.

You guys think sju in a walk? i got a feeling uconn again for some reason.

3 BE TEAMS IN THE S16...UCONN SJ MQ. 2 IN E8 - SJ UCONN. GO BIG EAST

It won't be a walk for St. John's no matter what. I think I like UConn here, too. They seem to be peaking (although this year's "peak" isn't quite what the previous two years' peaks were).

My biggest concern about UConn against the Johnnies is Diarra's ball-handling. Can he withstand St. John's pressure? If he can, I think they win.

Under almost no circumstance have I, or would I, root for UConn. Tonight is as close to a toss-up as it comes, for me, considering Pitino/Repole.
I am shocked with myself. I am rooting for them now. Dan has won me over and the interview with him and his wife was so great. I do think SJU goes the furthest of our teams and am rooting for them too. In the old days when we got a bunch of teams in the tourney, my BE bias ruined every bracket I ever filled out.

I have to say I’m more excited for this semifinal than any other that didn’t involve us. Maybe that’s because I am usually dejected we lost, but this year it was a forgone conclusion.

Hate that it’s with St. John’s but good to see Kadary playing with passion. Rick has gotten him to tap into his inner beast.

i have long objected to raf doing a day or two then leaving for the bt. i prefer gus and jimmy all tourney. plus gus and raf just dont mix well. i know he is a BE kegend. and that makes it worse

I agree that it's bittersweet watching KR. I wish him the best but just can't for SJU. BTW, I thought that Slick Rick was ging to make a 3 pt shooter out of him.

bullshit. he played his ass off for us and had a better yr last yr. and he has taken pkenty of time off at sju.
I think he’s a more complete player this year. Maybe a better way to phrase it is he looks more comfortable showing his emotions out there. I’m just looking without the blue tinted glasses.

Totally agree with you. This BS that Richmond didn’t play hard and with passion is belied by his accomplishments last year. He’s cool, plays under control. Just go back and watch some big games from last year.

the announcer just said jr nit a good ft shooter if kr ht 57% from the line last yr and 80 this season, it would have been cause rp got him to concetrate but he shot 80 last yr. 57 this yr. and 69 his jr yr at shu fwiw

Multiple things can be true at the same time. I think he's playing as the best version of himself. His conditioning seems better than ever, which was necessary because of how they play. Zero issue between him and Pitino, which everyone predicted there would be. Pitino goes out of his way to was poetic about him being the "easiest" player he's ever had to coach for a reason.

LOL yea the 3-point shooting didn't happen.

His midrange game seems better, although he's wearing the brace/wrap on his hand, so who knows what that's about.

Fair or not, he had a reputation from Cuse and at the Hall that he wasn't always the easiest kid to deal with and that he wasn't someone who went hard all the time in practice or whatever. Articles were written about it when he decided to go play for Pitino. Posts were made here that it wouldn't work because of that perception, fair or not. You can debate how the perception was created, and whether comments by certain coaches added fuel to the fire in that respect, but it was indisputably out there despite his performance last year.

Richmond tonight in 36 minutes— 12 points (5/10), 10 rebounds, 6 assists, three steals, one block, two TOs. He was all over the court.
