Filling in while Dan is on assignment...

Delgado and Whitehead are also preseason 2nd Team Big East.

Preaseason POY - Dunn
Preseason ROY - Jalen Brunson

1st team - Kellen Dunham, Roosevelt Jones, Smith-Rivera, Arcidiacono, Jalen Reynolds
2nd team - Whitehead, Delgado, Billy Garrett, Ochefu, Henry Ellenson
Honorable mention - Isaac Copeland, Luke Fischer, Jalen Brunson, Trevon Blueitt

The coaches predictions are pretty much the way I'd have it. You can flip Butler and Georgetown IMO but I think this is right on the money.

Most of the BE teams aren't "young" anymore, so aside from SJU, it will be a tough fight every night. Hopefully this will help in March. Marquette, the so called #6 team has 7 4star and one 5star player.

Either IW r AD will be first team (I think it will be Isaiah)

I don't buy the big delta between us and Mq. I would make Mq closer to the bottom four than to PC et al

Don't get me wrong Arcidiacono is a good player, but he is way overrated. I do not see him as a First Team Big East Selection. I think Ochefu is going to have a monster year and be 1st Team.
I also think Whitehead is gong to be a 1st team player as well.

I agree. He shouldn't have shared POY last year either with Dunn.

Ochefu and Reynolds are both going to be monsters.

Agree with 75 here. That is a ridicuous gap, despite the fact that they crushed our mess of a team in the BET (while Pat Hobbs stood and clapped).

Also agree about Arch. Nice 2nd-3rd team material. That co-POY last year was surprising, maybe a reward for taking the Gibbs forearm shiver with class and without retaliation.

Cant help you self can you? It shows leadership that was what zach was pointing to.

I wasn't being sarcastic. Willard should have made this point in the 1st week of practice. No? And Whitehead has said this multiple times but yet will go back on Twitter. So take that with a grain of salt.

I 'm going to disagree with 75 and Donnie as I have Marquette as my surprise team this year. They added the best newcomer in the BE in 5 star top ten PF Henry Ellenson plus top 100 center Matt Heldt and former top 100 center Luke Fischer became eligible last December and should be much better as he showed substantial progress as the season progressed last year. In Ellenson, Heldt and Fischer, Marq. added a lot of size . In addition they also added top 100 freshman four star Haanif Cheatham and three star ( 4 star by ESPN) Sagar Anin both SG's

Seton Hall is my surprise team.

I'm not a big fan of avoiding social media when the season starts. Its an important part of this world these days and these players are men who should know how to represent themselves positively in interviews, on the court and on social media if they so choose. It is the best place to show the world who you are, or at least show them the person you want them to think you are.

The problem with social media is that the best teams dont care about it because its not even remotely a disctraction for them because they are focused because their coach isnt a moron.

Let me see if I understand here.

Last week when word got out that Willard didn't have the confidence in his 2014/15 team that they could continue to play as well as there were playing early in the Big East season he got crucified by some of our posters.

Now he is taking a completely different tack noting his strong belief in his current team and of course he is being taken to task for that too.

Can't have it both way guys.

It's only one way Dan. His words really mean nothing at this point. He needs to get results and now. No more excuses, quotes, etc. He needs to defy all the experts who have picked us in the bottom half of the league, make the dance and make some noise. That's the only way we all want it.
