BLM Except in Charlotte last night.
2 dead, 12 hurt after over 100 shots fired at big crowd at Charlotte Juneteenth party
And 5 of the injured may not survive.
Let’s see the outrage from Sharpton about his people killing each other!
And putting BLM patches on players Jerseys isn't going to help build nuclear black families or get young black children to do their homework.
Hey clown. BLM focuses on police brutality towards black people. That’s the point of the group & movement.
“When a civilian has committed a violent crime, they’re generally arrested, tried and then convicted. Conversely, there’s a lot of evidence that it’s very rare to secure an indictment against a police officer for excessive force. And an indictment is just a trial; it isn’t even a conviction. Black Lives Matter isn’t just about the loss of life, which is always terrible. It’s about the lack of consequences when black lives are taken at the hands of police.” (Franchesca Ramsey, writer & activist)
Black on black crime is a separate issue, that is addressed by a myriad of different groups & people. But you knew that, and are still using your right wing talking point of focusing on the wording of the name of the BLM movement as a distraction bc again, you are a gaslighting clown. I’m sorry that they didn’t go with a longer, more detailed name that you would approve of, but that’s the deal. Will that explanation suffice & you will now move on as I’ve clarified? No, I imagine not.
Sharpton & many other black leaders & groups spend plenty of time trying to address crime in black communities. Just bc it doesn’t penetrate your Fox & Friends bubble doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Here’s one quick piece of evidence from a quick search. I’d spend more time digging but I imagine what I’m writing is falling on deaf ears anyway. Feel free to do some research yourself if you really are that sincerely naive:
The underlying issue to most crime, especially homicides, in black communities is poverty. Again, underlying. Meaning trace it all back to that first. And if you don’t think black leaders large & small, from ones w/a massive platform like Sharpton down to community leaders that me & you have never heard of, aren’t trying to address poverty in this country, well then you’re just completely out to lunch & not worth the effort I probably just wasted on this post.
