Wasn't sure if this was posted today or not, but the Boland Hall Fire took place 16 years ago today. Maybe a moment for the innocent lives lost that day as well as those who fought to overcome.

RIP Frank, John, and Aaron.

Mass will be celebrated at 5pm in the University Chapel, all are invited.

One of the deceased's family is local, and I've had the pleasure of getting to know them, over the years. I also knew the sister of one of the other young men who died in the fire. In both cases, their great faith has gotten them through the tragedy, and allowed them to continue living their lives. With that said, "best wishes" is the strangest condolence I've ever read.

Come on, Donnie. "Best wishes" in times of sadness might not be customary but it should not IMHO in any way be termed strange. How can it ever be inappropriate or strange to wish another the "best" in his or her life?
