Bozzella & The Pirates Host Philadelphia In Exhibition This Afternoon

I thought the atmosphere for that scrimmage was better than what we are used to the men getting during the OOC against cupcake teams.

Bingo.

For most of the game, there was a rather large contingent of students on the far side - it had the feeling of an in-season game.

We noted a number of young people behind the bench as likely recruits.

This is the ticket folks - whatever you may have seen in the past, this is likely the best basketball in Jersey happening here in Walsh gym.

Bozzella was just on Pirate Prime Time for the past 15 minutes. He is such a gracious and well spoken person during interviews... Always praising the guys on WSOU and their questions and speaking highly of Bryant and Philly U and their coach (who apparently has over 600 D2 wins)

Spoke about the team/players.... Over 800 middle school kids will be at the game on Friday! Is that possible!!?!?!? LOL.

Should be an interesting crowd!

Heh, I am NOT going to sit in my regular seat LOL. Gonna be with my peeps behind the bench.

Had a minute with Christian ( players call her Coach Stef) last week. She loves it here so far.
It'll be hard to match Looeyville's love for their WBB though. But I think we 'll give them a run though.
"little Walsh" - I love it.

I am really looking forward to meeting her, thanks for the note on your conversation!

She came from Kentucy, not Louisville.

What is unfortunate is that she was developing into an outstanding defensive specialist. We did know of this, but my oh my what a tough go for her.

Why is the first game on Friday at 11AM ?
Silk, I asked.

The answer....

It will be Kids Day. Plus we couldn't get a doubleheader with the men or play at the same time because then most of the fans would go to the men's game.
