Are you still out of work? If so I’m sorry and have a lot of empathy. If not great. The mental and physical toll of this virus is insane and reported often. The financial impact is nothing but catastrophic particularly for small businesses but it’s only reported publicly by MSM to highlight how trump caused the economic issues we r dealing with. The left got their crisis/crises and got rid of the crazy guy who is crazy btw. I am rooting for pols to figure out a way to let people move on with their lives (on a case by case basis with the individual deciding what is best). But they are off to a horrible start: checks to people and state governments is a bandaid on a gun shot wound. How about another form of PPP that has tailored purposes, like construction loans for restaurants that want to stay open at full capacity and select hospitals that can’t handle a pandemic. WTF is 2 grand gonna do when the price tag is what it is?

landed something this week. not the dream job but something in the meantime. not ecstatic where i am comparitively to life goals but very greatful. i will say that once on unemployment, it was very helpful in terms off all the extensions and extra $ per week for a bunch of weeks. but i also know a few people who cant even sign up for it. the online application states they need to call. and when they call they get told sorry were too busy and then hang up. no matter at 8am or 8pm. iade an iphone shortcut script to call and get past all the automated questions until there was a return. set script to repeat 100 times. didnt get through once. there are thousands of people who go every day wasting hours of their life on the phone, just to hit a literally brick wall with no other options and get turned away. the unemployment numbers are probably higher, but people simply cant get through. and when i say everyday i mean every day. its a disaster. even just yesterday

i agree with everything you said though. thankful to now look forward to stability, but man i was thinking about being at a hall game the other day and got super depressed. its a sad situation when your options are a) risk dying from a terrible virus or b) completely ruining your life thats not worth living. pick which evil to go with.

sucks to be in this situation that is nobodys fault. oh wait its absolutely chinas fault. we need intervention asap. this cant happen again.
