Candid Coaches: What is the most amount of NIL money someone has asked you or your staff to pay for a player?

If SHU doesn’t have at least $3.5 million in NIL it is going to be very difficult for Sha to put out a team that can be top half BE. The price for proven players continues to increase. The SEC, B1G, B12, ACC and BE have completely separated themselves from the rest of NCAA men’s basketball.

The coaches at the Power 5 level really have no one to blame for this but themselves. If they weren't greedy and tried to find ways to create an advantage by coming up with collectives this would not have happened. As a result they all are spending way more time having to fundraise and negotiate with agents. The top players could have easily got NIL deals from legitimate business and players that aren't superstars find your own way to make money and build your brand up. The opportunity is there for any athlete to make the money if they so choose. If anything the coaches just put way more pressure on themselves to win. If you don't win with a roster that costs 3-4 million you not lasting long because fans have the power and can withdraw their funds if they are not satisfied. Kyle Neptune is about to be the first example if he doesn't win this year
