another great Jerry read. Kadary, go kick some ass today.
Just amazing what this young man means on and off the court. Off, most weren't aware, but on he doesn't get an iota of the credit he deserves. Last night he led the team in rebounds, assists, steals, blocks and hit half of his 10 shots. Yet he's not one of the stars of the game. Maybe to those that know little of the game. But not to guys like Pat and a few others here.
I still have my Richmond tee from last year as does Hallrox. We both wear them proudly. It was an absolute joy to know him a little off the court and see him play on it.

Sha hurt him as well with the general soreness comment. Kid could barely walk at the end of the Creighton game.
Used to listen to guys by my seats talk about him playing street ball. I would laugh. He almost always makes the fundamentally sound play. Even last night - so many simple, basic and perfect chest and bounce passes right where the recipient wanted the ball.

As a Giants fan, I liken Kadary to Barkley. Plays for the enemy now so I have to root against him when we play (dare I say “boo”). But yet, I can’t blame either for taking the $$$, and very hard to dislike personally.
and he made a steal at the end to help seal it. like he did in the last reg season game vs mq. didnt he have 7 steals one game last year? and many hockey assists that create the hoops.
Zuby also took a major step forward. Much more suited to Pitino’s style than Soriano.
Agree he is a major force.KR made the other two main guys better via his assists and floor generalship.
I think most Pirate Fans loved Richmond, but the games he sat out under suspicious circumstances rubbed a lot of us the wrong way. In addition, as talented as he is, he does it so effortless, it looks like he is not playing as hard as he could. The guy is immensely talented.

Risky because you never know when general soreness can kick in, but he's really been great for the Johnnies especially the last month and a half or so. Hard to root against him even in enemy colors.
Pitino keeps beating this notion down people's throats publicly because of the "baggage" KR had before this season. As a fan, it is always hard to know what is true and what is not, especially with message board "insiders", what you read, what you hear coaches say at press conferences, and what your eyes sometimes seem to "tell" you about a kid. I mean Pitino literally used the phrase "general soreness" at a press conference, which is wild.
In today’s game, he is one of those rare players that can not only “get by”, but excel without having an outside shot.
Was fun watching him yesterday.

I get what you are saying re: the two R words. I will say this though -- the SJU players and team as a whole are enormously likeable and easy to root for even if you don't like the captain of the ship. They play their a$$ off like a Kelvin Sampson Houston team. They have no egos. They come off as humble kids despite all the accomplishments this season. Group of young kids who are getting attention now on a level most college players never experience -- they basically have owned NYC for 2+ months -- and yet they've handled that about as well as a young person can. If you watch the Vice series -- as I have for Arkansas and SJU -- and I know many of you have, the kids come across really well.
Great player. Sounds like a good guy too. Many here trashed him for leaving for SJU. I never have and never would. Glad he's having success
