Wusu would certainly drive you crazy at times, but you never thought he wasnt giving 100% and doing everything he could to win. Great story by Jerry.
Great article. SHU is lucky to have Carino giving us consistent in depth coverage. Certainly no one else does.
It's why I give him a pass when some of his tweets or articles seem like "state run media" compared to his "takes" or opinions about other topics or teams. He needs access and this is a program and coach that for whatever reason seems to provide little to none to even their biggest supporters. He cannot cross Sha, so he's going to do what he has to do from a messaging perspective to get the access he needs. But he is the only person who covers us, really, so I get it and appreciate the coverage.
I've been in the team DAW camp since he came on board. I get the flaws, and get why posters are critical of him. But more often than not this year he is our clear best or second best player on the floor. On the one hand, that probably explains our record. On the other, I appreciate he plays hard all the time despite his flaws (which he should be doing anyway, but still).
Also a lesson for those of you who throw stones at players on other teams from afar based on something you read or hear about them. Because this kid had major baggage coming from SJU, and yet no one has seen anything like that here.
