NEW YORK – Seton Hall's Savannah Catalon (Mansfield, Texas) was named BIG EAST Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.

She's the third different Seton Hall player to receive the honor this season joining teammates Faith Masonius and Jada Eads.

Catalon continued her ascent to one of the premiere plays in the BIG EAST Conference during a pair of games last week. The sophomore averaged 25.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 5.0 steals per game in a pair of victories to end the regular season. On Thursday, Catalon erupted for a career-high 36 points to go with six rebounds, three assists and three steals in a victory over DePaul. She was a Seton Hall record 16-for-16 from the free-throw line against the Blue Demons. At Xavier on Sunday, Catalon had a team-best 14 points to go with five assists and seven steals.

Connecticut's Sarah Strong was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. Members of the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll include: Butler's Kilyn McGuff, Creighton's Morgan Maly, DePaul's Jorie Allen, Providence's Grace Efosa and St. John's Ber'Nyah Mayo.

No. 3 seed Seton Hall will return to action when it begins play at the 2025 BIG EAST Tournament, presented by Jeep, in the quarterfinals against either No. 6 DePaul or No. 11 Xavier on Saturday, March 8 at 9:30 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on FS2.

She was phenomenal to watch. Those numbers speak for themselves.
Coming off her recent injury makes it more impressive.
