"Seize the Day". This is what the Pirates need to do today. A victory tonight will go a long way towards exorcizing the demons of the past few years. With a victory tonight we will move solidly in to third place in the conference and establish us as the team right behind Xavier and Villanova. It will give us two victories over the Friars and will put us at least two games up on the nearest team with three left. We need the victory tonight. A loss puts all the hard work from this season in jeopardy and will make the rest of the schedule must win games. I know that many will say this is not the case as we can still beat Xavier and Butler but I say a loss tonight makes it even harder to get those games. Therefore the coach and the players have to use every resource at their disposal to win the game tonight. They need to leave the court knowing that they did everything to win and left nothing to chance. They can not worry about bad calls and bad breaks. They need to focus on the task at hand. Kevin needs to drive the players relentlessly and to stay on the ball all night. IW needs to have the game of his life and get everyone involved. The rest of the players need to fill their roles to the best of their abilities.

As fans we need to be loud and supportive throughout the game and not wait for the team to break out. We need to be the impetus behind them. We need to fill the seats early and let both teams know during warm-ups that we are there and we are loud. We need to be boisterous and in the face of the Providence players.

If everyone does their jobs we will leave winners and be on our way to a fun post-season but for that to happen we all need to "Seize the Day".
