There was a lot of back-and-forth, especially when Taylor Swift got involved and supposedly drove up the registration numbers. Are celebrity endorsements a thing, or is it just another example of voters dealing with real issues being told what to do by elites?

Fair or not, here is the reality when it comes to these celebrity endorsements IMO: it turns off the average voter more than it helps. No one thinks it's authentic, fair or not. Many believe the endorsement is based purely on the party affiliation, not the candidate. That these types of endorsements are driven by group-think, signifying so-called virtue and to be asked to the next cocktail party or sit at the proverbial "cool kids" table. I'm not sure how much it helps, and for every voter it actually impacts there are probably several it makes want to do the opposite.

I actually thought Taylor Swift might have an effect, because of her off the charts popularity. But I guess when someone has trouble affording groceries, a star gladly taking $5,000 for a seat at her concerts….

Rather than celebrities, we should look back and look at individuals that may have had a significant impact on the election. Governor Abbott made the brilliant decision to ship illegals to Democratic cities. It really put the problem under a microscope for the entire country. I don’t really go on Twitter much, but my sense is that Elon Musk probably got a pretty good return on his $44 million investment.
