Chaunce Jenkins

No idea. But when he went down I was just a few feet away from him and I thought he was out for the year with a knee injury.

When word came out after the game that it was his ankle I sighed a breath of relief. But a week later the injury was changed from an ankle to a knee and we haven't seen him since.

Hopefully that's not how he ends his career.

Any chance a 5th year of eligibility? If he has played 30 percent or fewer of the games I believe NCAA this year has granted a 5th year.

It’d be his 6th!

He spent 2 at Wichita State, 2 at Old Dominion, and this year at Seton Hall.

I would think when healthy he'd be looking to play in Europe or something. He is a gifted offensive player. I'll never forget that facial he delivered at Rutgers against Bailey.

Yes, but in this final year if he only played 30% of the games, would be able to get a makeup year?

He has already played 18 of our 26 games. Even if misses rest of season, he would have played way more than 30% of our games.
Maybe Chaunce can appeal based on the definition of a game that i was taught in my high school Probability and Statistics class.

That is a game is something that both sides have an equal chance of winning. Clearly many of our "games" don't meet that definition.

According to the NCAA rules, in order to be granted a medical redshirt, the athlete must:

  • Suffer an injury that is deemed “season-ending”
  • Their injury must occur before the halfway point of the season
  • Not participate in more than 30% of the season’s games
