Really nice to see Willard and the team allow Adams of Georgetown to have his moment to start the game.

Well done, guys.

I agree.

Only question why don't we get a bucket than? Not being harsh but that seems fair.

It seems to me fair play would dictate that they allow your team a free first bucket as well.

Absolutely. We let them get the opening tip and then score an uncontested layup and we have to go down court against the normal half court defense.

That's BS.

They probably just thought we were playing our normal defense....but in all honesty I thought they made it seem like the deal was the kid scores and then they foul us for a payback? Im not sure

It was a class act and I guess we just leave it at that.

If Willard thinks it should've been reciprocated by Georgetown, then maybe it'll be an interesting postgame handshake.

If it was truly a class act then we shouldn't be looking for the same treatment.

Who cares? Results don't matter at Seton Hall.

No obligation for Georgetown to reciprocate, although Mobley's layup (the first basket of the game for us) was pretty much uncontested.

I give all the credit to Willard and the team for showing class and not asking for anything in return.

Will only be a point if we lose by less than two in regulation or game goes to overtime. My bet is it will not matter. Classy move by hall. Georgetown probably should have returned the favor. No big deal.

Yes classy move by seton hall and in classy move by Georgetown. Willard gave an appropriate lukewarm handshake at end of game. Also, another class move by Georgetown to dunk at end of game. At some point the people that control our basketball program have to get tired of being pushed around and disrespected.

I'm sure things were discussed with Georgetown beforehand. Absolutely horrible as it should have been a basket the other way. It's absolutely bullshit and most of you are clueless. It has happened in college basketball before let a player get the basket , other team lays down and let's up one of their own. Happens all the time . I angling to assume Georgetown was classless on this. SHU with the. 2 points would have been down 3 with 40+ seconds left and not fouling.

Other coaches in the league don't respect Willard. Why would they?

It sucked and so did dunk at end of game. Guess I'd rather be classless and winning than classy and losing but no reason the positive qualities need be mutually exclusive

Stop it with this respect of Willard bs . I don't like the job he's done at all but enough. This was a sneaky unsportsmanlike thing to do. Add that with playing tough half court defense after the basket . Don't let your blind hatred fool you

While I agree Georgetown should have let Seton Hall score 2 in order to even things up, Seton Hall did score 2 on its opening possession, so what's the difference? Your last sentence is completely wrong.

Seton Hall is going to finish in the Top 3 of the BE next year and will be dancing.

Flnj is becoming a troll. Repeating the same thing in every post in every thread.

Pretty comical.

Esp when a week ago he was calling for KW to be fired.

Lol.

That's correct. And Seton Hall scored 2 points on the possession immediately following the Adam's dunk. You wanted Georgetown to just give them 2. Fine, then it's still Georgetown's ball to start the game over at 2-2, same as what really happened, hence no difference, your down 3 with 41 seconds would not have been correct.

This, and that layup Mobley made to open the game was basically uncontested.

Intentionally fouling to get Adams out of the game is not playing tough halfcourt defense. On the broadcast, Tim Brando said Georgetown was going to foul to get him out of the game and that's exactly what they did.

Non issue.

That's not the point. Yes he scored but it was earned. Either way it would have little to no impact on the game but that doesn't mean it wasnt a classless move.

So if Georgetown lets SHU go down and a layup in a couple of seconds as opposed to running offense against 100% defense for 30 seconds, do they come back down and hit a 3 like they did? Do you think that the unsportsmanlike play effected the players at all. Got them angry , flustered ?

So a very classy move is followed up by complete bushleague crap from JT3 and now we're using THAT to take shots at willard. Ridiculous.

JT3=POS in my book now. I'll be rooting for every BE team in the tourney BUT gtown.

And you'll note I already agreed with that sentiment.

Who knows? No way to know that.

Unless they're saying Mobley's opening bucket was a giveaway knowing that The Hall would allow Adams to score, then it doesn't matter that Mobley scored as we were still -2 in the hole because of the class move.

Who's taking shots at Willard? The original post was talking about a classy gesture, which it was. It was very nice of Willard to do that. Some things are bigger than basketball and he got this one right.
