CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Sophomore Isaiah Coleman (Fredericksburg, Va.) was named to the Charleston Classic All-Tournament Team after averaging 13.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in a 2-1 showing for the Seton Hall men's basketball team in the Lowcountry this past week.

A BIG EAST All-Freshman team selection as a rookie with the Pirates, Coleman led his team averaging 34.0 minutes per game at the Charleston Classic. He shot 44 percent from the floor, 50 percent from beyond the arc (5-of-10) and went 5-of-6 from the free-throw line.

Against VCU, Coleman posted his first career double-double in the overtime victory over the Rams with 12 points and 10 rebounds. He followed up that performance with a career-high 20 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the floor and 4-of-7 shooting from three against Vanderbilt. Coleman finished the tournament with a solid eight-point, seven-rebound performance with two assists and two steals against Florida Atlantic.

Coleman and the Pirates will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 30 when the Pirates take on Monmouth at 12 p.m. at Prudential Center. Fans can purchase tickets at www.setonhalltix.com.

Coleman's play was the biggest positive of the tournament to me.

Coming off the injury, he was tentative and overall playing poorly in his first 3 games vs low-majors. Sha said he had lost his confidence. He also challenged him directly to be a better rebounder and since then he's been our best rebounder after 7 total rebounds in 3 full games.

He doesn't do a lot of extra dribbling and he has the lowest Turnover Rate. He's reminding me a little of a young Jared Rhoden. Plays hard on defense, good rebounder, can shoot a bit from the outside and slash to hoop.

As usual I agree with Fishjam --by far Isaiah was Hall's best player and played hard and was agressive to the boards. He would benefit the most if Team was not stagnant with ball movement and went to more of a transition O.
He did earn all tournie recognition.

Way to go! He earned it and played well all three games. I hope he continues to drive and look for his shot. He can play. He also does the little things like rebound and can handle the ball too.
