NEWARK, N.J. — Despite a career-high scoring night from Isaiah Coleman, the Seton Hall men's basketball team fell to No. 10 Marquette, 76-59.

The Golden Eagles (16-3, 7-1 BIG EAST) had 23 points off of turnovers, while the Pirates (6-13, 1-7 BIG EAST) had only 13 points.

How It Happened
With some nifty moves in the paint, Prince Aligbe drew first blood and put the Pirates up 2-0 to open the game. In response, however, Marquette went on a 9-to-0 run that put the visitors up, 9-2, with 14:23 remaining in the half. Despite the scoring burst from the Golden Eagles, The Hall began their own run to draw the game nearly even.

Isaiah Coleman provided four points, while Garwey Dual provided two points and two assists, on a 9-to-3 Pirates run that drew the Hall within 1, 12-11, with 10:54 left before the break. Despite eight points from Coleman over the remainder of the half, the Pirates entered halftime down 12, 33-21.

In the early stages of the second half, both sides traded buckets in the opening four minutes before Marquette broke the stalemate. An 8-to-2 run from Golden Eagles saw the Pirates' deficit grow to 20, 48-28, with 14:35 left on the clock. A layup from Aligbe and pair of free throws from David Tubek pulled the Pirates back within 16, 48-32, with 13:25 remaining, but The Hall would never close that deficit. Despite Coleman's attempts to spark a Pirates run, no run would appear, and the Pirates fell to Marquette 76-59.

It was a good game by Coleman but let's be realistic. Half his buckets came with game out of hand and Marquette giving less than full effort defensively.
