Commit Coming!

West Virginia? Talk about dumb move. For one year the money was going to be that good?
Plus is the NCAA going to allow him to play? I thought you really need something compelling, my hope was moving to closer to home got him the pass.

As I understand the rules, an international player cannot participate in a domestic event and receive payment. That would violate the visa the student/athlete uses to come to the US.

So, if HHOD does a meet and greet at Primo Hoagies, that player would be unable to cash in. Said player would be able to cash in on his NIL on non-US soil.

See Tshiebwe, Oscar
That's my understanding as well. That would include things like making any social media posts in favor of the company. There are workarounds though. For Sanogo on break he went down to Bermuda and was able to do a photo shoot and some social media stuff there.

Bediako gone after next season. EHE gone the following season. Why not take a flier on a guy like this? Especially given our track record with recruiting bigs…

Y1: practice player
Y2: back-up
Y3: contributor or FDU

In the world of free agency it doesn’t matter.

Dumb in what way?

They'll be a very good team in the Big 12.

Based on very limited highlight reels, it would seem to me has good skill, but will see a huge leap in competition in the Big East. Quickness of the game will likely be an issue for him.
Let's hope he develops nicely. Right now he lacks any kind of quickness. Virtully every shot he took in the painnt on those clips would be blocked in the Big East.

I believe i said this sha era would take 5 years to get going. I was told im an idiot. I can see how year 2 is going to go.

Can’t see much on these videos. The kids body has potential to put on weight and muscle which is a plus. Foreign bigs usually have skills too. Good flyer to hopefully develop in a few years with nothing to lose if he becomes a practice player.

It just seems there is no downside to getting him. He has a chance to get acclimated to Big East play and some of it depends on how Sha uses him.

Even when bigs are slow, pick and rolls, outside shooting and backing your man down inside the paint don’t need quickness for the most part. Just fluid mechanics which it looks like this kid might have

Agreed. 0 downside…

Would rather take a chance on a year 2-3 type big then have Watson on this roster
