What they accomplished is second only to the break through PJ year of 1987-88- in modern Seton Hall history.

I would have taken a victory over Rutgers and a crushing at the hands of UConn 100 times out of 100 over a first round loss, no doubt about it. Winning a game in the NCAA Tournament would have been a great way to cap off an outstanding season.

I went to the game with the pirate blue bus. Thanks for the NOSEBLEED seats!!!I I was still able to observe a few things.
WE definitely outnumbered the Rutgers fans the girls played hard BUT the coach and or players had know idea on how to attack their zone defense.

silkcitypirate, I think that we got stuck in that area because the UConn fans had the seats behind the SHU bench, which was the UConn bench for the second game.
RU fans got the seats behind their team's bench.
It was indeed a very good season. There was a lot to cheer about. Bozzella was 28-6 in his second season after a strong 20-14 first season. That's very good. Two 20-win seasons.
The Pirates are a PROGRAM on the rise. We know the coaching staff is capable of continuing and building off this success.
The big question ahead of us is whether they can land talented bigs in order to take it to the next level of success.
I hope so.

The women lose both Simmons girls, Johnson and the big girl, so who can replace what they brought to the table? The men have Delgado- ROY, Whitehead- all frosh team, who dealt with injuries ,Gibbs - 2nd Team BE , Rodriquez, Carrington, Nzei etc and bring in Singh- Top 100 recruit and probably another big man.
My 12 year old daughter and I spent the day taking the bus trip to Gampel and while we came home with a loss, it will be a day trip to save for memory lane. I was fortunate enough to bring both of my girls to six women's home games this year. As Junior Pirate members, they had a blast. They were even the ball girls at the Georgia game (won it at the silent auction at the beefsteak dinner). Can't say enough about the coaches and the players on this team. We will miss our seniors and welcome back next year's team with open arms.
Congrats to the Lady Pirates on a great season. Very impressed with how far you have come with your coach. You guys played a great game yesterday, lot of heart and showed toughness, not intimidated at all. I think you just lack some of the size that Rutgers had and that made it tough for you to handle our defense. I also think that with the Big East being not all that strong or well thought of a conference, you should continue to schedule as tough as possible out of conference. It will make your team tougher even if you lose these games
I definitely cringed when I saw the matchup because I knew how you guys were gunning for us and I didn't like that we had two injuries. It turned out to be a better matchup for us actually than I thought because you didn't have that inside presence that gave us trouble with in some of our Big 10 losses and with our banged up center we were able to get by. Still what impressed me about your team was the toughness and the ability to generate offense by stealing the ball. More than few pick pockets last night. Unfortunately for Rutgers keeping it within 30 against UConn will be a struggle.
Hollivay definitely out-muscled Ekidigwe. Chizzy somehow didn't have it for the game - she has improved so much this year and has been very important in key games, but she was beaten easily. You saw that the spark in our comebacks occurred when Tiffany Jones was in, since she managed to break in down low. Your zone was oppressive on DiDi and Daisha - if they had managed to start slashing, the game would have changed. Oh well.
