My group of about 20 moved down to almost court side seats because it was the late game and so many people left. It was truly one of the craziest game I have ever seen. When Powell came back out to the court is was like Willis at the Garden. Smart seems like a nice guy and great coach but I will always hate Marquette after that night.

My son and I moved closer too. Lots of pissed off MQ fans by us. I told my son we may have to fight our way outa here tonite. Luckily we didnt. And the SHU buzz in Penn Station waiting for the train was very nice!@!!!!

Marquette fans had a vendetta against Powell after that. Then he went in and dropped 30 on Markus Howard’s senior night, which in retrospect was the high point of SHU basketball in the 21st century. So great.

Some MU fans called security on me! The security guys saw I was harmless and walked away. But yes one of the wildest/craziest games I ever attended. And Breeding and the officiating was so bad that Val insisted that Breeding address the media after the game.

I thought Jerry was referring to the Marquette game when the Refs called a hand check foul on Bryce Aikens with under 2 seconds left in the game and then ignored an elbow to Bryce's chin which concussed him.

I didn’t have much respect for Woj before that game, but when his whole gameplan was to try to instigate Powell to get ejected, that was such a bitch move.

Yup that was right smack in the middle of that period when both Rangers and Knicks stunk. BET was by far the most exciting event at MSG.
