David TUBEK!!!!!

Came out of nowhere. No idea if he can keep shooting like that but he should at least get a lot more minutes next game or two. I know a guy he can replace…
seems like tubek simply cannot dribble. if he can hit an open 3 lurking in the corner he can be more valuable than half the guys. until he hit his 3s i didnt see him as anythint more than 5 fouls.

he hit those 3s and we needed them.

but idk how any other name is mentioned over Chaunce Jenkins

one of them was sassy - called Toumi soft for not dunking!
Don't know if it was the same one of the duo, but he got on Shaheen, too, esp. at the end of regulation when he erupted with no timeout call time out at 2.7 seconds. Also said Tourmi's technical was a no-brainer to call. I thought ref could have easily looked the other way.

i thouhht he meant it was a ridiculous t to call, and the other guy chimed in specially in such a hard played game.

Toubek gets his shot off quickly. The question is, what else does he contribute on the floor? Needs to rebound and play defense which Sha alluded.

And Sha needs to realize that you have to score the ball to win. Especially if you’re going to be in close games. Getting stops doesn’t do much good if you can’t put it in on the other end

Yeah, I think Sha does realize that. Will definitely see doses of Toubek going forward, but don’t expect him to be a 20 MPG player until he does those other things.

That toumi tech was stupid. Seemed like toumi was more pissed at himself. Ref prob thought it was geared toward him

A very satisfying win and the I was happy David stepped up when the situation called for it. I hope he can build on it. It's good to have options.

Yeah, but we need points also. The kid looks like he can hit 3s. Exactly what our offense needs.

Tubek played well last night and we certainly needed those threes. Hopefully we see more like that.

Good to see from him as I believe, as many here, that he has potential to be a solid player in due time.

I'm not sure he's ready for extended run (he's the same player who kicked away a pass that would have led to an easy dunk) but he's working his way into more rotation minutes.

VCU sort of played into our hands late as they went with a smaller line-up. That allowed Sha to play two of Tubek, Toumi and Aligbe without suffering in the paint.

One thing that I thought was impressive with Tubek last night is on at least two of his three 3-Pt field goals, he had to catch the ball away from his body and was still able to have the quick release and the shots looked very good.
