almost as crazy as our other transfer guard shooting 50% from the lineThis may be im reading it wrong, but it says that Gordon is a 6'3" guard who shot 0.083 from 3 averaging almost 30 minutes per game for two seasons per ESPN? Are these stats possible? Hes a shooting guard and his other stats are good. Scores pretty well and steals well. I just have a hard time believing he only made one 3 in 2 seasons with those mpg?

Gordon is not the best offensively except for getting fouled on drives. He is much better defensively. Will make the team better but this team has a lot of holes in it, not a top half Big East team IMHO.
I know this has been your stance, and I don't necessarily disagree, and I'm not trying to claim we are a "top 3 in BE and tournament team", I just think Gibbs' departure may give some of these younger guys room to breathe and let them develop. And possibly help the locker room situation. Not saying we are better without him, just saying some of the upside of IW, Carrington, etc. can be better realized with a different team dynamic. Who knows. I'm just happy with the commitment and ready to move on to next season.

Fantastic person with a persevering life story, the players can certainly learn something from him if they so choose.
He was 1-12 from 3 last year. He only shot a 3 in nine games and I would be surprised if he got that many shots from 3 next season. He's going to add much needed depth and defense for a backcourt that's lacking both. He'll be, at best, the fourth option on offense whenever he's on the floor. He's a great addition because of his style of play and what this roster needs. Thanks SPK, because I haven't seen him play. Sounds like defensive specialist/slasher. I was just baffled by the stat for a SG. Gonna be a little tougher to have him out there on offense with 30 second clock with one less shooter. His other stats are real solid though.

Two things to note: Shaheen Holloway brokered this and deserves a lot of credit. Also: Gordon's family really wanted this.

Gordon said some schools weren't interested because he's gay. Acknowledged the Fr. Hall situation, but said SHU coaches made him feel wanted

How Seton Hall's hierarchy handles the spotlight that comes with having the sport's first openly gay player . . . we'll see.

Derrick Gordon makes Seton Hall a better team. Rugged defender, rebounds, gets to the rim, doesn't need a ton of shots. Important addition.

Won't win more than 4 games in Big East. Who will be the shooter? Whitehead will have the ball in his hands and will force more shots. Carrington can't shoot and Derrick Gordon might as well be Shaquille o'neal from 3 point line.Losing Gibbs and gaining Gotdon? Not even close!
Seems like another reach to me. A 2 guard who can't shoot to go along with the other 2 guard who can't play D. I don't care if he is straight, gay or goes both ways. I have never asked anyone in my life what their sexual preference is and I doubt I ever will. Doesn't really matter to me. I think most of you guys want to be so politically correct that you are looking past his skill level.
