Does anyone want Willard to stay?

I'll play. Since the consensus is that he is staying at least one more year. If he gets to the sweet 16 next year and the team improves as the season goes on instead of regressing, and get some solid 4 star recruits including a big man or two for 2016, I'll want him to stay.

Hallball02, sweet sixteen? There's a better chance Chris Christie becomes spokesmodel for Skinny Jeans.

Unfortunately, I think recruiting anyone is going to extremely difficult - virtually impossible - due to the consensus that the majority of alumni want him out and he will be viewed as a lame duck (whether it's true or not).

This is true, but recruiting hadn't exactly been good before he fell out of favor with the fans. Well, aside from the time he hired three coaches....

Absolutely not. It will hurt this program for the next 3 to 4 years. He is not happy here and that is public knowledge. When a coach is unhappy lets forget about his past 5 years of 1 Nit and that's it. Forget the record for a minute. An unhappy coach which includes unfortunately his family is a terrible situation for Willard and the school. Willard has a lot of connections and will land on his feet. However SHU should not have to deal with a coah who in many opinions doesn't even want to be here. This situation with Willard is being watched very closely by all the basketball people in the metro area and the basketball junkies around the country. he stays under these circumstances he is hurting SHU even more. What recruit in his right mind would come here knowing that the coach doesn't want to be here. Maybe some low level D1 prospect. Hurts the players the assistants ........ EVERYONE. Give the kids a coach they can learn from. They came here with high expectations and look what happened . there sitting home during both the NCAA and NIT tourneys. SHU was more than fair with him and for the time effort and money given to him the school fans etc. have 1 NIT. If they bring him back our reputation will suffer big time. Having someone here that frankly wishes he were somewhere else will make us look foolish. Don't be fooled by any recruits he may get unless they are absolutely top notch. Its always next year next year.

Isn't the more important question whether Willard himself wants to be at Seton Hall? I personally believe that both parties wish that they could reach a reasonable accommodation that would allow Willard to leave, not be as financially burdensome to Seton Hall that has has been suggested and Kevin could salvage enough of his reputation that he still might be able to be a head coach down the road. If anyone thinks that the criticism of Kevin was harsh this year another repeat of what we've see on the court this year happens again next year will seem mild by comparison.

I have not heard this. Where has it been out there publicly that he is unhappy wants out?

HALL28 saw it somewhere and due to certain rules on the board cant say. But maybe by now hopefully you may have heard. BURNSLY I saw what u said about me yesterday. ill write as many posts as I want and I am always respectful to everyone. but when someone says something then I will not take any shit for exactly that reason. ill just say this and not waste my time with you anymore. Mind your own goddam business and don't worry how many times I post. I love the school and this is a critical time . u love Willard great. but don't mess with me. typical tough guy on the computer. I hardly ever post but when this season ended that was enough for me. I want him out . maybe ill see u at a game one day. smart ass.

HALL28 I believe he said that he wasn't happy or something very close on the radio to Kevin ONEILL.

Absolutely. He makes me laugh. He makes everyone laugh (at SH). He's a funny guy in a serious job. No one takes him seriously, but who takes a comedian seriously?
