So an Utah man claiming to be a "sovereign citizen" gets shot by police. He acts like an ass and apparently reached for a gun when he didn't comply with police commands to get out of the car. It is amazing that some people think that this is the way to deal with police. Just shut your mouth and comply with police. Then call a criminal defense attorney to fight about any issues in court. Any other way, you risk your life.

Resisting arrest is one of the dumbest decisions one can make. Nothing good will come of it and your chances of dying because of your stupidity goes up dramatically.

Maybe if parents were responsible and taught their children to ALWAYS comply; maybe if this was taught in school; maybe if the MSM didn’t gloss over it when someone black or white gets killed; maybe if it was at the top of the news report and covered as “a fleeing suspect” vs “another unarmed black man”….maybe this stupidity wouldn’t result in so many injuries or deaths.

At this particular encounter, he reached for his gun. About the 1:05 mark.

I think we forget the danger police face. This was a routine traffic stop that could have easily gotten the officer killed. I can only imagine what the media would have done with this had the guy been black.

Sometimes it is just clear that when someone is reaching for a gun, the cops are justified in their response.
