NEW YORK – Seton Hall's Jada Eads (Orlando, Fla.) was named BIG EAST Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week and Faith Masonius (Spring Lake, N.J.) earned BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll status on Monday.

Eads earns Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this season, while Masonius has been honored by the BIG EAST with a weekly honor seven times.

In a pair of BIG EAST contests last week, Eads continued to show why she's one of the premiere freshmen in the country. The point guard averaged 16.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in a pair of Seton Hall victories. On Wednesday against Butler, Eads flirted with a quadruple-double, collecting 14 points, seven rebounds, six assists and five steals. In Saturday's victory at DePaul, she poured in 18 points, six rebounds and two more steals.

Masonius led Seton Hall with 16.5 points per game in a pair of Pirates victories. On Wednesday, she played only 21 minutes due to the lop-sided score, but still contributed 12 points, and four rebounds. On the road against DePaul on Saturday, Masonius erupted for a team-high 21 points to go with seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Creighton's Molly Mogensen was named BIG EAST Player of the Week. Those joining Masonius on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll include: Connecticut's Azzi Fudd, Marquette's Halle Vice, St. John's jailah Donald and Villanova's Bronagh Power-Cassidy.

Seton Hall will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 5 when it travels to Omaha, Neb. to take on BIG EAST rival Creighton. Tip time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET. The game will be streamed by the BIG EAST Digital Network and available for FloCollege subscribers.
