ten minutes to tip and this place is empty. Shame on this fan base if we don't pack the rock tonight

It's a good crowd but not as active as it usually is. The sloppy play could be contributing to that

It was a solid crowd. Don't know what the OP wants.

We always have a late arriving crowd. Wait for the game to start before making that assessment. Crowd was actually pretty good tonight.

All I know is at the opening tip, Angel was looking around the arena and he smiled. Was clearly into it from the tip, and the crowd was good throughout.

Just enjoy tonight's exciting and hard-fought victory. Tonight's crowd looked great on TV.

"Win and they will come!"

The crowd was good. I actually thought it would be better and at times there did seems to be a lack of energy in the crowd. But at the end the crowd came alive. In games like this. I think the last five minutes of the game, the whole crowd should be standing.

The game had no flow and offensively was an eye sore. Because of that the fans, who mostly packed the arena with an announced crowd of over 9100 were not as loud as would be expected.

Still, so nice to get a W when the team is having a poor offensive game.

Chalk this one up to Angel, Gordon, Ish and the D.

Gordon said in the post game that he was really tired down the stretch but he told the guys in the huddle, we're not losing this game!

I want a sellout. I want the fans to be in their seats a few minutes before tip. I don't think that's unreasonable for a 9 pm game on a Saturday night for the best team we have had in over 10 years.

I agree though the crowd was loud.

BTW, spoke to Pat Lyons at the game and asked if we keep playing as we are is there any plan, say at the Xavier game, of partially opening up the second tier. He said absolutely but that will be up to the fans and the advance ticket sale.

When I first got there I was surprised that the lower bowl wasn't completely filled. Saturday night
did have shall we say a "Juiced Up" crowd. I thought there was an excellent atmosphere at the arena.

When the Pirates did anything well the fans were terrific. The fans were a factor when SHU was
on the defensive end and may have influenced a few calls.

The only problem on this night were the open missed looks from the perimeter. That took a little zip
out of the crowd. The crowd was a bit quiet in the first part of the 2nd half I thought because Seton Hall
did not execute well in those last few minutes of the first half. Delgado was key to the energy in the building
throughout the 2nd half.

Half the students were so juiced they didn't even know they were at a bball game. Lol.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 3-5 minutes of standing and clapping/cheering while waiting for tv. That doesnt happen at shu often.

It was not the perimeter shots that bothered me, but rather all the missed Layups and Free Throws. But we won anyway and that's all that matters.

Was talking to the fans around us and at the 4:40 mark our guys were dead on their feet, sucking wind and needed that 4 min timeout badly. But the play would not allow it and they dug down deep and played great during that stretch until Thompson called that TO with around 3 mins to play. All those kids were really tired but they got it done anyway. That was a key moment I think for this team and I hope they really learn from that. I enjoyed it thoroughly and great job from our guys!

Reminded me of the PJ teams that would be so physical on an opponent for 30 minutes wearing them out and then pull away in the final 10 minutes.

Missed free throws? I'm stunned. It's the one constant during what's his names tenure. Made free throws down the stretch would be a nice change.

Seton Hall made 7 out of 8 free throws during the key stretch from 5 minutes remaining to 1 minute remaining last night. The game was sealed in that stretch thanks to Whitehead hitting that huge 3, holding Georgetown to 1 made field goal over that stretch and making free throws.

At least you are consistent Vegas. As I recall when PJ's teams started the turn around you were unwilling to give him any credit either.

Do you really think they are not working on free throws every day? You have young athletic forwards missing free throws. They'll get better. And I guess you've missed Angel's improved FT shooting.

That was addressed by Willard (pertaining to Ish) and then I relayed his comment to Ish during my interview with him. Details are on the Trove but here I'll just say the player took the entire blame noting that the staff works with them all the time.
