A lot of games to be played and a lot of minutes essentially 6 to 8 players will be absorbing. But team is playing solid, just need to tighten up the occasional defensive breakdowns. Avoid the letdowns, play .500+ against upper 2/3 of the conference.

I’m pleasantly surprised with this team this year.

They played great wire to wire today at a tough venue. Butler is a mirror image.

What if we’re actually good? This feels too good to be true but what if it is? Hats off to everyone from the top down. We went from a sloppy mess to a really good looking team. Let’s keep winning.

The way we're scoring the ball right now was unthinkable a month ago. I knew we'd defend. But right now I think we overestimated how good the rest of the big east is. UConn is the real deal when they get their big guy back. Other than that every team other than Depaul isn't separated by anything more than who is going to make a big play in the last 2 minutes of a game. Over the years we've watched us hang tight and watched guys like Troy Bell, Carmelo Anthony, Karl Krauser, Russ Smith, Josh Hart, and a number of other guys just tilt the game in their direction. That's what's happening here. We got Kadary Richmond and the other teams don't. The guy we're relying to make plays is better than who our opponent is relying on to make a late play.

Enjoy having older experienced player this year. Winning and making the NCAA this year would make recruiting that much easier, and of course losing makes it that much harder.

We’re used to a January swoon around here. If we can prevent that and just tread water for the rest of the month, I don’t see how we don’t get to 12 conf wins. But still waiting and kind of expecting our carriage to turn back into a pumpkin.

I say enjoy the ride. We Pirate fans put a
o much negative energy out into the world waiting for the other shoe to drop that it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Nova and UConn fans never worry about this. They are always positive their teams will win and when they don’t it is a momentary blip. We should adopt the same attitude and just enjoy the ride.

I think you must be referring to pre Kyle Neptune Nova fans, and post National Championship UCONN fans. The big issue with Hurley was he was not great in tight game situations. Therefore, he decided it was better to just blow everyone out.

Winning teams make big plays. We've been doing that a lot lately.

Conversely, losing teams fail to make those plays. Georgetown and Butler each had late game opportunities and weren't able to make the play they needed.

That’s a Willard mentality. Sha has them playing 1 game at a time. My brother was asking if they’re feel real or what. I told him they are really gritty. Terrible shooting most nights but they find a way to grind games out The last 5-10 minutes. They give maximum effort for 40 minutes or they find themselves on the bench.

Can't believe I'm typing this, other than a smooth win in the UConn game, every game we won could've gone in the other direction. We didn't blow Georgetown away. Providence we were down at the 5 minute mark. We were tied at the 5 minute mark with MU. Georgtown and Butler both had a lead on us with 3 minutes to go. Our margin of error is so small right now. It's good that we're winning these games, but it's possible to see us with 14 wins or 9 wins.

I would rather win all our games by 15-20, but our experience in close games will help us in tight games down the road. We also have seniors who have been through the wars before.

Seton Hall and about 300 other D 1 basketball teams.

Why do we already have to brace ourselves for some inevitable decline? Just enjoy the good times for what they are.

You must sit on a beach in the sun and worry about the following week's rain.
Thank you. You worded this perfectly. Just taking it all in now.

Although in the fall I do worry about the following weeks rain but that's because it's my job 😉

I don’t think many teams like Wisconsin with 5 wins in conference are worried about 9 or 14 wins. They’re worried about 14 or 16. Most of the teams that could have between 9 and 14 conference wins are 3-2 or 2-3.

You get the point though. Games hang in the balance 50 times a Saturday. Someone wins. The better teams win a higher percentage. It is called competiton.

Your worried the sky may fall on this team. No one says the team is worried. We have this many wins and a 3 game homestand. A team that has fully bought in. Enjoy the ride.

I am totally enjoying the ride. This team seems to have put it all together in one shot, starting at Missouri. I hope we continue to bring the energy on Tuesday. See you there.

Fellow Pirates, I noticed one thing about our boys lately, they play on offense with a special chemistry and rythym that I have no seen, passes mad to open man, cuts and lay ins.... I see Richmond drive to find an open Bediako, I see Davis confidently takin it to the hole, I see Dawes playing with confidence now, I see Wasu shooting the 3 without hesitation... They all flow on offense now in one way or another..... It's a TEAM effort that somehow just happened

We are what we are. Right now, we are winners.

We can easily lose the next 2 or 3 by revertimg back to shu basketball and squarely on the bubble. But u can say that for any team. Just keep playing the bb we have been amd stay away from those sloppy 4 minute stretches
