ESPN calls out NBA

Well it's about time they did some investigation into the Nba deal with the devil. China a modern day Nazi regime with a million plus people in reeducation camps .

Tough article to read some of the shit going on over there.

Human rights violations galore, and people call Trump Hitler lol

Hey KP sorry to break this to you. While it is not right and actions are reprehensible for American culture, old country communist, eastern bloc athletic academies have had this type of discipline for 2 generations.
Yes NBA is guilty for not having more proactive approach and better vetting. However, China, USSR, East Germany other Eastern Bloc republics this style was prevalent to the young apprentice athlete in any sporting discipline.

You're a complete joke. Human rights violations okay? Want to sweep those under the rug? A million people in internment camps but it's okay for the wokest league to exploit the finabcial benefits?

Read the article, it's disgusting.

I read what is involved. This article is about physical discipline to apprentice players. Don't twist your views on China human rights and labor camp scenarios into this article.
Again, this type of teaching was prevalent for 2 generations in communist nations with athletic academies for specific sport.
Yes I agree it is wrong, but that is their old country culture.

You clearly DIDN'T read it, I twisted nothing. The article spends a huge portion talking about human rights violations and labor camps. ESPN even dropped comparison to Germany WWII.

No a former league employee alluded to it being like Germany during WWII.

No a coach that worked at one of the academies alluded to it being like Germany during WWII.

Pretty disgusting conditions for the kids and for over a million people. Pretty clear you're a hypocrite as well.

I would urge all media members in the bubble to ask for player/coach reactions to this story.

How can you sit wherever you live and rail on police brutality but ignore countless young black men being murdered in cities all across the US and sweep China atrocities under the rug as expected for their country. You're okay with the USA burning while black men continue to be murdered every day and the Chinese intern peoole in 're education camps?

Should the NBA end all relationship with China?

I am against police brutality, i am against civilian on civilian violence and murder, i am against civilian on police violence and murder, i am against oppression and slave/child labor practices anywhere on earth. I am an America citizen. I care about what is happening to other American citizens, documented legal aliens here and now regarding the pandemic and social justice fairness.
Chinese culture of apprentice athletic culture is likely a radical outlier. I don't agree with it but I can reckon how it passes down to next generation.

Obviously the academy scene in China with NBA integration is up for reassessment going forward. I again feel league and its nyc and international team needed better proactive diligence and vetting and the system setup was a logical failure.

In terms of Media and streaming deals, not sure China will be diplomatically receptive to this story. China media groups already scaled back live event consumption this season. I can see China balking at NBA.

Now question is should NFL, MLB and NHL see this and decide to pull plug with business ventures in China?

I'm surprised Trump isn't all over this. This would seem to be an issue he can exploit to help himself.
