Includes stats. Looks like team defense and rebounding was optional, LOL. And the 14:15 A:T mark doesn't inspire. Hard to make much of anything without seeing it. Even then wouldn't take too much away from it.

Good for the continued development of Nzei and Sanogo to put up strong rebounding. That's a plus in terms of them just getting out there and being productive; that's the stage they're at in terms of unproven players.

Whitehead taking 10 of the team's 16 three's is probably a sign of things to come because we do not have the depth of outside shooters we previously did with Gibbs, Sina, and Mobley on the team.

Yes, which is why I hoped to see some new offensive sets at the foul line and below using our proclaimed depth at the forward spot. Hope one of the forwards can develop a mid-range game. Ish? Desi?

Lock down defense Holding them to 50% shooting and out rebounding a clearly small team (apparently of jumping jacks) by 4 is clearly impressive I don't care who you're playing or where. (He said tongue in cheek) Also, Good job coaching by he whose name I shall not speak. Yikes!

KW wasn't forced to start Gordon , that was a choice he made . He had other options by going with a two guard set plus Angel, Desi and one of his other bigs , Ish, Anthony or Anderson and IW and KC as his guards. That decision reflects his bias for a three guard offense when the biggest issue with this team is what the bigs can do to help Angel up front and this game was a chance to get them minutes and help evaluate where they are.

Bingo! I'm less concerned by the result. Based on reports its just odd in what KW was trying to do in this exhibition. We have unproven bigs like you said...perfect opportunity to mix and match. Fail

Maybe for that reason. Sanogo and Nzei needed time. We have 1 exhibition game. Have to get the guards right with Whitehead now the primary ballhandler, and some of these inexperienced back-ups.

I was referring to willards comment that he would play th 3 guards as much as possible this season, not necessarily the starting lineup of the exhibition.

KW should have used all players during this exhibition using multiple combinations to see which groupings could be utilized during the season. Some players that were not injured did not play.

The first half I can see him experimenting with the guards and see how they work together but the second half (or vice versa) should have been devoted to working with the bigs. It was an exhibition game and this is where you experiment. Losing this game didn't matter as long as this gives KW and staff insight on who to play during different game situations or offense sets the opponent throws at our team.

After six years I would have thought he would have caught on by now. Hopefully, the information he garnered throug this exhibition will translate to more wins this season.
