We have all been massively positive on the contract, mostly because of the financial impact.

But can you believe that I have been unable to watch the BET because i can't access the games at all? That includes today's semi finals, which once upon a time used to be CBS televised.

I am on vacation within the United States, in two different Western states. Staying at a major hotel chain which carries ESPN, ESPN2, CBSS - but no Fox Sports.

The Fox Sports Go app is connected to an Optimum account in New Jersey. But for whatever reason the BET games aren't available on the Go app. Just the pressers.

Never had these issues with ESPN. Very poor job by Fox Sports.

I have Optimum and watched our first game (first half at least) on Fox Sports Go prior to a late meeting I had.

By most accounts, the Fox Sports Go app is very good, but they do not have a contract with FiOS, which is my provider, so I'm out of luck on that. Maybe by next year. Last year, there was no Fox Sports Go at all, so it's progress.

See if your cable company has an app. Mine does and It has all the sports channels and many cable channels I can watch live. FoxGo app stinks, but I can watch Fox1 on the cable app. All you need is your password for your cable

The Fox Sports Go app on your phone/tablet and online won't work for UVerse customers. What a brilliant scam the cable providers run; increase fees and decrease service.

It changes your access based on location.

i was in California and now Hawaii. Seems to not give access to optimum users while traveling in these regions.

Anyone who has an Ipad, I can tell you that Optimum and the other one mentioned has their own free app. I'm not sure about other tablets or phones or computers, but if you use the app from your service provider you can watch fox1 for free. I'm sitting in my office right now with 2 ipads watching 2 games on ESPN2 and ESPN. Since I found the app fro my cable company, I never go to foxgo.

I have tried using a Comcast account from NJ to stream games up in Boston. The only time the game was available for me on Fox Sports Go was the most recent game against St. Johns.

FS1 needs to fix this.

I was traveling during our game at Villanova and had a similar issue. Major hotel brand. But the FoxSportsGo app worked perfectly for me.

It's going to take time for FS to develop.

Here's an article from Variety explaining the dispute between FS1 and AT&T U-verse.

FS1 won't even be 2-years-old until August. I think they have generally done an outstanding job in a short time. They are very active in covering and PROMOTING the Big East. For example, we have seen promos during big events such as the Super Bowl.

They actually put SHU on Ch. 5 twice this season. Did that ever happen with ESPN and Ch. 7? I think it happened once in the early 1990s.

They are also committed to covering and promoting Big East women's basketball. Did ESPN do that? ESPN basically covered UConn and Notre Dame.

Nevertheless, I disagree with FS1 on this matter. You have to uphold the terms of the signed contract. You can negotiate when it's time for a new contract.

Those of you who can't get your service may be impacted depending on whether you have both cable and/or internet service. I'd check with your provider.

Ratings have been below terrible for Big East basketball on Fox, including rhe games put on the main Fox network (channel 5). The most watched Thursday Big East Tournament game was Xavier/Butler which was watched by 192,000 households, By comparison, 11 other college basketball games were watched by more households, topped by Duke/NC State with 1,134,000 households.

SPK, I understand about the ratings. That doesn't change the fact that FS1 has done a good job in a short time.

It can take years to build brand awareness.

If BE teams start to win and make the NCAA Tournament, that will also help viewership. That's why it's so important for SHU and St. John's to build winning programs. They're both in the No. 1 TV market.

I'm sure that the executives at the BE and FS1 are very upset about SHU's collapse. For a short time, they were getting great press in NYC. That came to a crashing end.

I really hope FOX gets a deal with the Big Ten. Would get more people to watch the channel, which helps all involved. Having one of the "power five" conferences on the FOX airwaves would be huge.

The reality is the ESPN brand is so strong that it's the first channel people check when turning on their TVs and looking for sports. If a game like Duke-NC State is on, they'll stay there and have little chance of watching anything else. It will take many years for FOX to even make a dent in this huge obstacle.

Correct, but most Pac-12 games are on ESPN, including the league tournament. Not sure what all the details are there. It's not an exclusive partnership, that's for sure.

Fox won't put the Big Ten on FS1 or FS2 and have them directly compete against the Big Ten Network, a network that is majority owned by Fox.

I don't believe that will prove to be the case. Check the linked article. FOX is expected to be a "major player," according to industry experts. It's not competition when you put games on two different networks that you own. It would be a smart move by FOX to acquire the Big Ten for FS1.
