What has been disappointing are the players that are receiving a modest compensation and are not even performing at that level.
Who thought creating and adding a completely meaningless post season “tournament” in this era was a good idea? Have they not seen any bowl games the last 5-8 years?

I've said about 10 times that we should be doing something similar. Announce a million dollar matching campaign. Throw some kind of goal up to raise funds by start of the Portal 3/26.
It's content creation by the company that happens to hold our media rights. They're thinking they will draw higher ratings and make more money than showing darts, bowling or whatever other filler they would be showing. And they're right.
And what kids would take nothing to play for Sha when they can get paid and play for McDermott, Smart, Pitino, Miller, Cooley, Hurley or many others inside and outside the Big East.
Can we stop acting like Sha is the only man who can coach and everyone would be dying to play for him even if money wasn’t an option?
So many people love the NIL crutch because then they don’t have to ponder the thought that Sha is average.
