First look at the brand new Seton Hall Basketball Performance Center‼️

whats pretty funny is that that last issue of Pirate magazine said the fieldhouse DID put in the exact floors i was asking about for the rest of the students. win all around.

Sam Dalembert was probably our most financially successful professional athlete, given the era he played in and the longevity he had. Would be wonderful if he was in the position to help and if our program has pursued it.

BUILD IT AND THEY SHALL COME . Let’s hope that it does work and it becomes a major asset in our recruiting and in our player development efforts.
I've said this before, I would expect this to give a huge boost to your recruiting. Sure, it won't compete against a seven figure NIL check, but it makes it a lot easier for kids to imagine spending their careers at Seton Hall. It's a really big deal and it came out terrific.

It will be interesting to see who from the administration will be there and whether they will interact with the visitors.
If I were running the show for this it would be organized in a way where those in charge say a few words first. That messaging obviously touts the facility and all you'd expect, but also be real with what's happened this year, acknowledge something, and reiterate the future. It's a good forum to do that as this building needs to represent a fresh start.

People have donated to this. The program gave everyone our worst season in 40 years and completely broke the run we had the past decade while making us a laughingstock on multiple levels in the process. It's ridiculous.

The Practice Facility is much needed but building it should have never come at the expense of not fully focusing on andfunding the team's payroll at a BE level.

To have a glorious place to prepare but not be able to compete from a talent standpoint is ridiculous. There's no way anyone can deny that the effort, focus and funding that went into this facility did not come at the expense of preparing for NIL/P4P/Transfer Portal. And that is just a failure of leadership.

Like Levell Sanders said, "Seton Hall is building a practice facility. I feel like that is so, so 10 years ago. Nobody cares about what type of facility you have - they care about if you have NIL money."

2 things are true here.
We needed a facility and we were ten years late getting it done.

We needed NIL and we are years late realizing the importance.

I do think if we get NIL in place, the facility elevates the program.

I also think this dumpster of a season, has to wake up the administration on NIL. The parking lots are half open. Not many concession stands open. NO STUDENT SECTION. This season has to be both a financial detriment in addition to the embarrassment to the school in total.

I am sure the Conference leadership has gotten involved as well making sure our leadership understands league expectations and what needs to be done to be competitive.

Have the BOR appoint a law firm to conduct an investigation! We're good at that!

Do you really think if a practice facility wasn't being built the school would be in a better place with NIL?

Easy chance for NIL funds here. Charge $75 for a tour plus simple GDS food and drink.

Let the excuses roll from Mcbride why we Cannot....

Need to aim higher. At minimum $150 per person kids free, $250 if you want a tour led by a player or coach with photo and autograph opportunities after. Personally I would charge even more, but I think the shock of asking the fanbase for something of substance might cause panic.

I agree with you, but the reaction of some on this board would be brutal.

You would want people to actually show, right?
This board represents the diehards. They’ve made it so the rest of the base needs to be cultivated. They’ve put themselves in too bad of a place to demand asks like that right now.
