What’s the deal with these chants every weekend at college football games? I originally thought it was a southern thing only happening in the SEC. I saw they did it at Penn State last night. Are young people turning on democrats or is it just Joe Biden? Is there something specific Joe did that caused 18-22 year olds to make this a weekly thing at games? It’s all over the Twitter, I’m surprised nobody posted a thread on this.

Especially since that was one of the demographics that helped to get him elected. Have no idea why this is getting momentum.

Young people are tired of listening to seniors talk about covid. Even more tired of old politicians (we have a lot of those) talking about covid. They were asked to wear a mask OK, asked to get a vaccine OK. Now they are ready to party. They are just done with all the BS, bunch of old people contradicting themselves on a daily basis. That's my take and he just happens to be in office. Bunch of videos going viral of Joe speaking and not making any sense is also not helping his cause. I think he comes across weak and feeble to young college students. Let's just say most politicians but especially Joe are not connecting with the young people.

It's pretty much about the masks and the vax mandate.

Let's not kid ourselves with the FJB. It's F_ck Joe Biden!

big 10 football fans arent that different from SEC fans in terms of values. college students love chanting curses too.

while i dont particularly disagree with them they might be doing this for any president. rage against the machine.

SMH. I wouldn't say the fans of the 7 schools the big ten has in Michigan, Illinois, Pennsylvania, NJ, and Maryland share the same conservative values as the overwhelming majority of SEC fans. Maybe I'm way off but I don't think conservative values when I think for example University of Michigan or Northwestern University.

But yes college students love to cursing. Does anyone see this chant happening in Newark in November?

do you know where happy valley is located??

Yup. But if you want to go by just the location of the school, do you know where The Ohio State University is located??? I was looking at the state in general and make up of fans. Columbus Ohio is a little Democratic. Actually very Democratic. But I was thinking in general PSU is in a liberal state with a good chunk of liberal fans and The Ohio State University is in a generally conservative state. Since it’s Happy Valley vs Columbus, Penn State is in a rural area with conservative values so The Ohio State must have progressive values being in Columbus Ohio. Still half the schools are not exactly sharing similar values.

I find this pretty tasteless.

Thank goodness Trump is out, though.

I find a lot of things done by 18-22 to year olds tasteless including things I did at that age. My general question surrounds whether or not the left is losing their stronghold over this demographic and are we about to see young people lean more right by a movement starting at football games. Tasteless or not, young people are voicing their displeasure and being heard. Is this a movement or just something young people think is “cool” for the moment.

They’ll forget about Covid in 2 years and get behind the next socialist movement to forgive all student debt.

I agree, not classy, bad look. Our leaders and/or influential people regularly use this language, going back decades. Even about presidents.
Why would we expect teenagers to act responsibly when our political leaders use this language, act like petulant children and take cheap shots at each other every day. You reap what you sew.

It's not on the politicians to raise our kids. Politicians are scumbags.

So that’s why pols weren’t at all to blame for the looting, rioting, death and destruction last year?

That's a separate issue. If adults are being influenced by pols (like Maxine Waters or Trump) to loot or attack the capitol than that's a personal problem & quite pathetic. If kids are running amuck that's a parental issue.

You’re trying to draw distinctions and I don’t blame you. It helps you loop in January 6, so makes total sense.
You’re ignoring that college kids chanting are adults.
You’re ignoring that the months long rioting was done at least in part by college aged adults.
January 6 was not a college aged movement.

All three groups deserve to face appropriate repercussions as I’ve said before; hasn’t happened though.

Forget the politicians, it's the musicians, tv shows, movies, sports heroes, etc. that have created a society and culture where all of this is acceptable. Politicians are comical in the big picture, some want to get rid of violent video games, but nothing against songs and movies about killing and doing blow.
