At first, I felt FSU got shafted. Then I saw they are 14 point underdogs in their bowl game to Georgia.
As exciting as the two championship games might be, they really make ALL the other bowls merely uninteresting meaningless post season exhibitions.

Audio of that speech resurfaces in a new ESPN Films documentary that examines the 1969 college football season. “Nixon’s National Champs” explores President Richard Nixon’s decision essentially to name Texas the de facto champion of college football, even though Penn State had finished the season 11-0.

Silly to say Georgia —as good as they have been—are by far the best when they just got beat. Strikes me that the committee —as messed up as they are— ended up selecting the four most dangerous teams in the game. And that should make for two excellent games.
And the ACC stunk this year. No way FSU is as good as the four selected teams…and the fact that they are 14 point underdogs to Georgia in their bowl game is further proof.
