What Democrats? Both parties in congress are generally fully in support of Israel, as is the mainstream media.
Not really surprising. Independents viewed Israel as favorable by over 70% before this conflict and that is down to 48%

That doesn't equate to believing that Palestinians are the good guys, they're not.. but that doesn't mean you have to believe that Israel can't be wrong in their methods.

And what alternative to Israeli methods do you suggest given that Hamas continues to call for the death of all Israelis and polls seem to indicate that most Gazans agree with that? What part of that should Israelis not be concerned about?
I reject, by the way, your assertion that they kill civilians indiscriminantly. That's a sweeping term that ignores a lot of realities on the ground and is statistically disproven compared to other wars.
I don't have the answer and no one said they shouldn't be concerned. They should, but a poll does not believe they are all terrorists.
I'd argue that using non guided missiles in populated areas is indiscriminate, and that doesn't even factor in the intentional targeting on aid workers and others in known humanitarian zones. I get that it is certainly an incredibly tough spot for Israel, but shelling civilian locations and aid workers crosses a line.
My question. How else should Israel address the situation? Use other less lethal methods, that put their own forces at risk and perhaps give Hamas an opportunity to regroup?
The opposition is calling for the extinction of Jews. Seriously, if you were an Israeli what would you do?
For a country with their capabilities, bombing known aid workers and humanitarian zones is just not something that should be acceptable. Any other country doing the same thing would be called out for instances like those being war crimes.
I just don't see killing innocent women and children as a way to make progress. It's just fuel on the fire for the next generation of jihadists as they see their homes / country destroyed and their family members killed. They will grow up with the same hatred the generations before them did.
Israel needs to convince the next generation of Palestinians to hate Hamas more than they hate Israel. Bombings of civilians and the likely occupations to come after are going to move that needle in the wrong direction.
Given the horrific nature of the October 7 slaughter, it really required Israel to respond immediately and lethally. In addition the problem with Hamas as a terrorist organization. We know now they were hiding underneath hospitals and schools and using Palestinian as human Shields. Is that Israel’s fault that the enemy has no regard for their own innocent citizens?
It looks like some of the Israeli attacks may have been result of poor or incomplete intelligence information.
What has happened to Gaza is horrific, Palestinians didn’t deserve that either, but the fault falls on Hamas. The polls are disturbing though, but I’m not surprised. We saw example after example of blatant acts of antisemitism right here in this country once Israel responded.
I believe the IDF has gone to extraodinary means to avoid civiian casualties. With warnings to evacuate, etc. Probably more attempts at avoiding civilian casualties than in any other war. Speaking of war crimes, blame Hamas for essentially using civilians as shields by housing fighters and rocket launching sites in the same spaces as hospitals and innocents. One problem is that we are often dependent on Hamas reports. Not so sure you can base anything on the reports coming from these sources. Have there been errors made by IDF?..... Yes. But looking at the whole picture I don't see any ther way for them to win this war and at least ensure their security for a reasonable amount of time.

The attack of the world central kitchen aid vehicles, Israel targeted three separate vehicles carrying aid workers and civilians.
The cars were not close to each other, and Israel was aware of their itinerary and routes beforehand. Yes mistakes happen, but these vehicles were targeted and it is not the only time Israel has gone after aid.
Bombing humanitarian zones. Yes, it is likely that the terrorists would hide there, but these were zones specifically established by Israel as a place for people to flee to or they be killed where they were bombing... and then they bombed the humanitarian zone.
What does winning look like and how do they win? I just don't believe they are on a path of "winning".
They are on a path for a short term win, increasing the size of their land footprint, occupying new lands in the name of safety and trying to force Palestinians to leave. The resentment of Palestinians will not go away and they will plan their next attack, and Israel will respond in kind x100 as they are doing today... and so on and so on forever.
